Paranormal Activity
I just watched it today...it was really cool! I got very sucked into it. The ending surprised me, and I don't usually have that problem!!
I'm also a fan of the show Supernatural, and I kept thinking they just needed to lay some salt lines and make a devil's trap...LOL
lol, I didn't find it scary at all
I kept getting annoyed with the guy in it. SHE TOLD YOU NOT TO GET A OUIJA BOARD YOU MORON! And he obviously didn't have things under control.
I really liked it but I got the alternative ending because I downloaded it. I was scared but not too badly, just thought it was generally quite a good film.
I haven't seen it, but I had to comment about Supernatural. What a great show for women, two hot guys killin' monsters. Well, it's my kinda show ......lol
it is
OH, yes, Supernatural is totally a chick show! Especially 1st season, Hell House, when Sam comes in the room from the shower...that was totally for the girl fans.
I'm so with knittin Kitten on this one... very frustrating. The ouiji board etc' - the boy is so dumb! The exorcist guy says he can't see them (very fake timing, it was quite predictable and not subtle that bit), but they don't go and find anyone else (so OK bad things will happen outside the house too- but surely they'd go to try to find someone to help). Plus the hilarious 'Miiiiiccaaaa' screaming and whining- parts of it were actually funny! No way was that scaried than Blair Witch.
The only really scary bit was the youtube clip. Which I could probably see on youtube!
I think Paranormal Activity was the worst horror movie i've seen in a long time. I think the guy that made it (aka the guy in the movie), should have sold the idea to stephen speilberg, like speilberg asked. Then We might of had another great movie like 'Poltergeist'! lol
And it baffles me that bloody-disgusting.com said its "the scariest movie of all time", in the comercial. That was very saddening.
There hasnt been a GOOD memorable horror movie in ages.
The guy in the movie wasn't the maker of the movie. He was just an actor, even used his own real name. I agree that it wasn't all that scary, but I think it has the same appeal that 'reality' tv has...some people find themselves engrossed in watching other people go through their daily rituals, etc. To tell the truth, I actually didn't get to sit through the entire movie. I kept having to go help my daughter with stuff, b/c she didn't like it that me and my fiance were in our room with the door locked, so she wouldn't come get scared. It made her mad. So, what I did see of it, I thought was kind of fun. BUT, yes, Micah totally was annoying, doing everything he was told not to, as if......scripted?
Also, I do not watch horror, most of the time. I can't take all the gore crap that is in movies nowadays, I will not watch Saw or any of that crap. I grew up rather sheltered, and I've never watched any of the 'classic' horror movies---Friday the 13th, Halloween, A Nightmare on Elm St., etc. I'm good with some of the lighter Stephen King stuff, Tarantino/Rodriguez, Bruce Campbell/Sam Raimi, etc. I like The Frighteners, too.
LOL, as an example of my babyishness, I have yet to get past the scene in I am Legend when the dog goes into the creatures' lair after the deer. Make fun if you want...I don't care.
Very predictiable and funny! I rewind some of the scenes just to laugh at them and come up with my own theories.(seriously, i wake up if i am about to roll off the bed, the chick got dragged off and didnt wake up from the impact...and why would he go up in the attic if there were scary things going on, I would of got out of their asap-dont care if it is following me or not) I like the dvd ending version better than the theatrical one, I wish they added the third ending from Fright Feast because that one would of went with the "logical" part of the "story." Very Blair Witchy.
Ooh what was the third ending? I saw the one with the knife, not the one where he flies into the camera.
I agree Squizita, the clip of the other girl being possessed probably scared me the most. And yeah, I kept relating her story back to mine, cause I sleep really weirdly (as I have discussed in detail on then nightmares and night terrors thread) and my boyfriend's seen me thrashing about in my sleep so I bruise myself and that. Just a couple of the things seemed similar to what has happened to me. But I guess that was the point of the film haha, it was meant to be realistic.
