crappy film remakes
my dad wanted to watch the Phantom, I was thinking the 9o's Phantom, but it was a very craptastic modern remake, based in the US, with uber gagets n explosions and stuff. I mean the first one was cheesy, but that was fun. This one was so long and boring.
but my dad loved it
I hate when movies are made based on a Stephen King book.I love the book and then I see the movie and I get so angry, they always leave out the greatest moments of the book.Im always promising myself that Im not watching any more movies like that, but I end up watching them after all... I think that after reading a really great book the film is always a big disappointment...
it so is. I agree
I hate films that are remade. I have watched one or two films that were remakes that were good, but other than that, they just suck. I heard that they plan on remaking the 1970's movie "the warriors" , which is one of my favorite movies of all time. And instead of setting it in New York like the old one, they are setting it in LA. Grr.... I hate when someone takes something good like that, then make it worse
nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo not the warriors! its a classic
They are also remaking Flight of the Navigator=(
Also there are rumblings that Robert Rodriguez wants to remake Spy Kids=/
WTF? Why would he remake his own movie, which is only like 10 years old? And NO they will not make a remake of Flight of the Navigator. I will go stand in front of the set and protest and not let them film because my goofy self will be in the way. That's one of the best kid movies ever made, up there with E.T. and The Sand Lot.
I am so annoyed with people remaking movies that aren't even old, or classic. Especially if nobody watched the original. It reminds me of my ex husband telling me the same joke 8 times, because he thought I didn't get it, and that's why I didn't laugh. When in reality, I got it and didn't think it was funny. *facehand*
Somebody tell me if they decide to remake the Outsiders, or Labyrinth, or one of my other favorite movies, so I can go kill some idiots, k?
if they try to remake the Labyrinth they better get Bowie, or else
I HATE REMAKES! *shakes fists*
Especially of horror movies. There has NEVER been a good horror movie remake. You can never beat the original, its always scarier.
I did like Rob Zombies "Halloween" remake. But thats because i like him. & i loved his take on the story ...showing more of michael myers past & how he came to be a seriel killer. It was fascinating.
But It REALLY pisses me off when they make an "American" version of japaneses/Asian horror movies. (like "The Grudge", "one missed call", etc) Those are my favorite horror movies, and when they make an american version, they completely butcher the story, characters, & the overall tone of the movie. And most of the time the movie comes out as stupid and making no sense. It drives me insane!! GRRRRRR.
I recently watched "The Uninvited". IT was kinda interesting, but i was confused sometimes. Then almost towards the end of the movie i realized its a remake of my favorite Asian horror movie "A Tale of 2 Sisters". I was pissed. It was nothing like the original. The original scared the crap out of me, & was beautiful at the same time. The remake was awful, and sometimes boring.
God, i wish they would stop remaking Asian horror movies ...just b/c people are too stupid to read subtitles, theyre getting butcherd.
okay. Rant over. lol
That remake of Friday 13th with the boy from Supernatural in was AWFUL, absolute rubbish. The Hills Have Eyes remake was pretty cacky too. If it aint broke, don't fix it.
What?! They are remaking flight of the Navigator? How can you improve on that. I love that movie. The kids of this generation are missing out on such great movies that are replaced with the crap they make now a days. They substitute real dialog and story lines for cgi. I am all for special effects, but they shouldn't carry the movie....
NARRRGHHHHHH! nooooowww
