It sucks that steryotypes even exisit outside the TV, but whAT i HATE is labeling....
I was asked by my cousin, who entered high school, and he asked ...

Cousin: So...Mimi...what are you?

Mimi: I'm...eating *bites a bagel*

Cousin: Seriously, are you goth or prep or...what?

ugggh....and then theres the cliques....I'm on the yearbook and my whole class is actually a clique....this clique consists of cheerleaders and all that....I didn't belong with them, despite my friendly demeanor. In these times all i can say is who gives a F*ck about it...

mimi(sudden;y pissed): I'm me, what more do you want.

Cousin: but where do you belong?

mimi: What difference does it make about labels. My answer, I have no label. I'm labelless. I don't need to be in a category...*walks away*

I hardly see bugs, except at my school where theres loads of wasps. Yes, theres bugs but if you stay in a nice place there wont be any.

I love that Mimi
"so...what are you?"
"im....eating"

I've been a freak my whole fucking life, and i hated it. Cause ONE girl called me a Freak oh so long ago and they just never ever let it die after that. made me have issues.

Yeh I had issues from being bullied and then I had more issues because of the 'what are you' thing. I was a goth apparently (yeh I've told this story a thousand times) but I wouldn't have minded if they'd called me a punk because I tried to use this weirdo personna as a defense. Like Brody Dalle was, all scowling and moody so people would leave me alone! But they didn't know what the hell they were on about. The goth thing started when I let them listen to FOO FIGHTERS!!! (on my TAPE PLAYER! I'm not that old but mp3 players hadn't kicked off lol) At college though everyone was like me, well in their tastes at least but I only found a few true friends so it really doesn't matter 'what' you 'are'.

They'll grow up and have children and be confused cuz no one does what they say anymore like they did in school.

hehe Courtney I'm bluuushing!

Happy

Hang on, the goth thing started when you listened to FOO FIGHTERS?! Dude, in my school, you would be a punk.

People say I dress goth which I take as a compliment, I really admire the Victorian Romantigoth style.

Foos to me is just rock, reserved compared to the distillers record I was listening to the same day, I think, wow my memory is good that was like 5 or 6 years ago! They wouldn't have known what a punk was 'omgz emma that's ded goffick (about foos)' she didn't even know what goffick was obviously Happy kids on a bus recently called a little punk a 'sweady' which used to be the word before they learnt goth, I felt like turning around and going 'he's a punk!' and then to the kid 'ooo distillers jacket! nice' lol

But yeh, they started calling me a goth when one of them heard it, or well told everyone when I wasn't there or was there and acted like I couldn't tell. Like the day they 'found out' they left me standing in the corridor before a lesson and talked about me to each other in a huddle, but they'd done that so many times before I knew especially if someone looks at you, looks away and starts talking to each other. And then one of them was like 'erm eeemma are you a goth?' Like it was a huge deal OOH NOO INFECTEEED! Yeh I'm still not fully over it, I can laugh at it now but I just wish I'd said something like 'look, you don't know what a goth is and I'm not one now shut the fuck up.'

Things are different to then, loads of 'normal' people like 'indie' now, like the ones who called me a goth when I liked indie! (I've said that before too sorry if you remember lol) and rocks being manufactured like Miley Cyrus or whatever and McFly.

sorry I always write essays in posts!

You know, this is one reason why I love that we wore a uniform haha Although then your style came out in the shoes you wore or the bag you brought to school. I went through so many styles in secondary that I am glad we didn't have to wear normal clothes.

I suppose I hung out with the outsiders side, but I was also friends with "nerds" and some sporty girls. I don't think I stood out too much, we drank, we smoked, we went out with boys.. We were just us. I think I just blended in and by the end of school, I didn't hang out with anyone but my boyfriend..

We wore uniform to school too but people still found ways to pick on you, like you said one of the things they would pick out was the bag you had. I found that funny though, because a lot of the popular "chavvy" girls all used Jane Norman carrier bags (the big ones with the rope handles) as their school bags and they got tatty and looked nasty really quickly, yet they took the piss out of me for having a plain blue canvas messenger bag with a few badges on.
And one girl in PE once got all sarcastic taking the piss out of the trainers I was wearing, so I actually stuck up for myself for once and basically told her to fuck off (probably not the best thing to have said haha) and pay attention to the rounders game we were playing and not my feet. I was pleased with myself for finally standing up to someone, but then she started shouting back with all the "Don't be getting faaackin' lairy with me you stupid fat emo!" and I wished I'd just kept my mouth shut Happy. That was also the same girl who walked past me and my friends in the changing rooms and said "Urgh it smells like black people round here" :|

I don't think there was ever any obvious bullying in my year, but I did feel the whole, "my shoes are crap everyone else's are better thing", I hated non uniform day, as my clothes were crap and old most of the time.
It got better once I got a job and could buy my own clothes!

The bullying at my school was blatently obvious, the teachers knew but yet they did absolutely nothing about it.

You know, it has been 10 years (this year! oh man) since I left secondary, so I could have a selective memory like most old people haha

ALthough I would never go so far as to say "they were the best days of my life" ugh no way!

Theres the girls who always have coach, fendi, etc.
Then everyone is FCKING OBSESSED with converse. Yeah, theyre cool but my god. It gets annoying when all you hear is "yeah, I was thinking about my awesome converse while reading twilight cuz im so hxc like that"

I have a pretty bag! Its black and has skulls on it. Happy Tongue
