Spring time :)
Me and my boyfriend went out down our allotment last weekend and we have crocus bulbs coming up all over the place. I can't wait till they flower. What have other people noticed? I love spotting the little signs of life that start popping up at this time of the year
Its a beautiful day,and I moved my cactuses outside to enjoy the weather.
They got a water sprinkle wich they love, and now I cant wait for them to grow out their lovely flowers:
Even my doggy was dancing for the sun:
An the cat refuses to come inside:
our laburnum is blooming too,but I forgot to take pictures!I love spring!
The curlews have arrived and have started nesting in the wilder areas of the fields, the first lambs were born yesterday, and today a little flock of oysercatchers arrived to nest along the riverbank....yes, spring is arriving here at last.
Then every year we have house martins, which arrive on the first few days of May...we used to get lots, but last year there were just two pairs.
I'll try and get some pictures soon!
I watched a thrush in my garden gathering nest materials, there are lambs all over the place AND I went into town today without a coat!
There is no such thing as seasons when you live in the Tropical North Queensland. It's either the wet season and the dry season This is why I would like to move somewhere else. Seeing the seasons when we went travelling was wonderful. I am glad its been starting to cool down though now making it a little more bearable during the night (the day is still ridiculously hot).
Violetta your cat is so cute
Thanks Arty!Hes a lazy one too!
Laurel I enjoy not wearing a coat outside too!

Aw cutekitty Voletta. I love everyones pictures too, lovely and summery
For the past few days I've spotted a Robin in m garden... I'll try and get a piccie of him if I can. The daffodils in my garden are still thriving. About 8 months ago my Aunt gave me a plant to keep in my room, I didn't know what it was till today, I think it's blossoming a white lilly!! Which made me UBER happy, I love lillies!!!!
Nora curlews now I'm homesick but..... Yesterday I made a hummingbird nectar bar on my back deck.I tend to collect plants from strange places at this time of year.We went to a farm shop for bread for our picnic on Saturday. They had great starter veg and herbs so we're fit for salad well into the summer. It was cheaper than buying the seed and soil ! I acquired lobelia for hanging baskets and my Hubby choose some delphiniums as it had just rained and he loved the water on the leaves. We had a few fuchsias which we picked up on the way back from the electronics store - don't ask ! Best part was that while I was potting I discovered we have two hummers using the feeder in this area which appear to be male and female. I just have to tell you guys I had the most enormous thrill today when to I came into the kitchen to see a hummngbird feeding on the nectar from the left hand recycled post box.It has a blue Lobelia plant in flower.I have created a humming bird feeding station.Just awesome !
Aww Debs you should get a hummingbird feeder hat like on Regretsy! By the way if you're from Essex where are you finding hummingbirds?
xx
yay spring! the leaves are starting to come out! though the sun is still refusing to shine.
You must be down under to be getting Spring Em.
Here in Bellevue WA USA we are having proper autumn weather, trees are turning, salmon are supposed to be running, and still lots of hummingbird sightings.
I've just joined a volunteer group that watches for salmon returning to spawn in local rivers.I have a river patch to watch twice a week for 15 minutes for the next 3 months.
