What do you colour your shrinkies with?

Hey guys!
I'm wondering what you all colour your shrink plastic with? I have tried permanent markers and painting on it with acrylic afterwards, but I'm wondering if there is anything else I should try? Any of you used something weird and wonderful and got great results?

I've had the best results with colored pencils. The most important thing is what you coat the shrinkies with.

Yeah I used colored pencils Happy If I'm making my own shrinky dinks from recycled plastic I make sure to rough it up on one side with some fine grit sandpaper, so that the color will stay in place on the plastic and show up really well.

I usually use nail polish, actually... But pencils work out fine as well ;).

Sharpies or polish

I usually use sharpies and then if I want to add colour or shine after they've cooked I paint them with nail varnish.

permanent markers and colored pencils then paint over it w/ clear polish - it seems like other paints would scrape off
