I totally agree with you
Many of the stuff you make in Camp etc.
You didnt really want to make it but you were kinda forced to do itNot doing what you want and be creative in a different way

Latch hook rugs with a a pattern such as teddy bears! During a secret santa exchange a girl who obviously didn't know me that well gave me a teddy bear latch hook set, i don't like things with teddy bears on it (bad memories of dresses i wasforced to wear in 2nd grade). Also icould not figure out how to do it!

Decoupaging gone wrong. I really don't get the need to cover your furniture and whatnot in cut outs from magazines. It's not really that cute, IMO. Now, decoupage can be done very well and I like it then. I don't do it myself and don't usually like what other people produce, which puts it above scrapbooking for me. I get really bored with scrapbooking and don't have the patience, but I generally like looking at what other people produce.

I love both of those when done properly. Cross stitch is ace provided you don't go in for the tired old cliches and you do something exciting with it

and crochet is easy once you know how. see if you can find someone to teach you! Happy

yeah I only hate crochet cos I cant do it! my grandma has tried and tried in vain. I always end up with a row of stitches on the hook... not sure how. Ive never seen any non cliched cross stitch, plus I'm a bit scarred by the 'nursery rhmes in cross stitch' book I got given as a present when I was little *shudders*
hate hate hate those prepacked craft kits, like 'knit your own scarf/teddy bear/whatever' and they're extortianate. I've seen them in hobbycraft for like 10 quid, and they just kill creativity. and colour by numbers! just why? rant rant etc lol

I don't hate any crafts, but I do hate the mess I always make when I do...anything! I live in a tin appartment, and I always tidy everything, but 5 minutes after I started doing anything remotely crafty there is stuff ALL over the place.

LOL knitting only because I'm horrible at it! And I wouldn't say I hate it..I'm more jealous because I can't do it! Now I can crochet my butt off though! So HA to all of you knitters with your knit one, purl three, stand on your head while you stick your toe in the fourth stitch from the left. PFFFTTT.........

Ohh I didn't realize people even considered Stamping (using stampers and ink) a craft until recently. So I guess that I hate stamping as a craft because how creative can you get with a pre-made stamp, ink and paper? It's not even that tricky.

However, I do love it when people make their own stamps, that's cool! Does anyone know where I can buy the clay to make my own from?
