Hi KaylaSue
I've had a good look at the pictures. It looks like you start of with an almost full length wide piece at the front. Probably 1 1/2 times the normal width. The ruffles are made by lifting the fabric and stitching where the fold is (underneath). You space the stitched bits about 6 - 8 inches apart to create a softer fold. You will need quite a lot of fabric. I know there are some skirts that are styled like this on the high street. Go out and lift a few skirts to see how it's done......Lol.
The front pattern looks as though it may be a long triangle that has had the top cut off. It's a bit difficult to see if the top of the dress is made seperate but I think it may be easier to do it that way so you can fit it better. Maybe the bow is covering some of the construction.
Good luck Happy

My prom dress is very similar to this and the ruffles are done just like sheila said except instead of stitching it the material has ribbons sewn on it so you can tie it up of wear it down Happy

Thankyou so much Sheila! You're so awesome! For the life of me I couldn't figure it out, it makes so much more sense now. I'm definitely goning to have lift a few skirts to see how those ruffles are done. =)

Martha thats a really cool idea, I never thought of the ruffles being versatile.

Im so excited to start. Hopefully it turns out okay.
Thankyou guys. <3
