Costume Patterns

I twirl a baton with my highschool marching band, and we usually wear costumes to this Halloween parade. Our unit captain wants us to be cowgirls, or indians. I just don't like how costumes from a party store fit me, so I want to try making a costume. I can read patterns and I've made pants and a skirt before.

I was hoping to find a teen or adult sized pattern for a cowgirl or indian costume.. any suggestions? Happy

You could adjust a trouser pattern to make chaps. Cut a curved section out where the pockets would be. Keep the waist band. Add tassles down the outside leg seam and use ties to keep the inside leg together. You can wear them over shorts. For a top just add a V of fringing on the front Happy
