best cake flavour and filling?

I love red velvet with the cream cheese , angle food with lemon jelly

deep german chocolate with chocolate ganache

Anything chocolate usually keeps me happy but I do love carrot cake with walnuts and cream cheese frosting, or coffee cake.

My fave has always been carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. Haven't had it in yearrrrrrs. Happy

humm... thats a tough one! I love cakes. For the amazing way they look and taste! If I am buying a cake from a bakery I like to get chocolate with raspverry filling and chocolate frosting. But if my mom is making it for my birthday I like Funfetti with matching frosting. Thats a type that is sold in the baking isle, and has tiny colored bits in to that taste almost like mini white chocolate chips.

Also does anyone else do weird things to thier cake when eating it? My family does! My dads favorite dessert is chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and raspberry jello, which he puts into the same bowl and kinda chops it up into cubes and eats it mixed together. I learned from my grandpa to put the choc. cake into a bowl and pour a little milk over the top, then mush up and eat! My brother on the other hand likes yellow cake and vanilla ice cream mixed in the same bowl! lol were a querky family XD

I've made two amazing cupcakes(not really cake, but kinda) one was a dark chocolate cupcake with peanut butter icing. Sooooo amazing and rich. I got the recipe from Ina Garten. She is my favorite chef EVER!! I also make a carrot cake with cream cheese icing, also from Ina. It was amazing!! And the second awesome cupcakes I made. I picked the combo myself. It was devil's food cake with strawberry icing. Super yummy. I made some for my best friend for her birthday and topped them with pink sprinkles and shredded a little baker's chocolate. She looved them.

Also there is a cupcake place in Toledo, Ohio called Cake in a Cup all of there flavor combos are sooooo amazing. I'm in love with that place.

My friend makes an amazing pumpkin spice with cream cheese icing/filling. She also makes a good lemon poppyseed cake with lemon curd filling and vanilla buttercream.

Great, now I need to go bug her for them now!

Pumpkin Roll...so divine, but we only make it during the holiday season in our family. It's an all day process, then we put them in the freezer (to hoard), I mean, to give away as gifts. Happy

I just learned how to make lemon curd/lemon butter last summer. It's amazing! So, now we make this Lemon Cake Delight with Whipped Cream Frosting.
