How did you get started?

Brooklyn’s on Boulder was founded as the tasting room for Lee Spirits Company in November of 2016. The business began when two cousins, Ian and Nick Lee, formed an idea to create a gin that would fit into classic cocktail recipes exactly as originally written. With one foot in the past and one foot in the future, Lee Spirits challenges the spirit industry and enthusiasts to enjoy classic cocktails by rewriting the modern rules of gin and cocktail creation. We’re passionate about sharing our love of artisan gin and handcrafted cocktails with everyone.

Where are you located?

We are located at 110 E. Boulder St. We are across the street from Supernova, Behind the Wild Goose and next door to Ohana Kava Bar.

What are your specialities?

We focus on pre-prohibition classic cocktails the way they were intended to be made. We are doing this by using the finest ingredients and techniques. As we are a tasting room we are able to prepare every liqueur and spirit we use in-house. We constantly work on developing new ideas by inventing new drinks that people have never seen or thought of trying before.

What's your personal favorite thing on the menu?

That's a tough question. That is because our menu is always rotating. My personal favorite on the menu right now is the silk road. This cocktail created by Stephen Winchell includes Gin, lime, orgeat, creme de rose, curacao, cardamom pods, and vanilla.

What's on the stereo?

We play a range of different genres of early jazz such as Duke Ellington.

Where else should we visit in your area?

There are many amazing spots around Brooklyn’s such as our neighbors at The Wild Goose or Odyssey, Sakura, and many more.

Do you host any special events?

We host many seasonal events throughout the year such as having guest bartenders come work, Negroni week, and many more.. We also conduct monthly classes to help teach people how to properly make cocktails, the history of many different spirits. For the month of August, we have a “Ginfusion” class where we teach people how to make their own infusions with Gin.

Is there anything else you'd like us to know?

Brooklyn’s on Boulder is set up in a classic speakeasy fashion. In fact, last month we were named a top 15 speakeasy destination in the US by the Travel Channel.

When you first walk up to Brooklyn’s you’ll enter the front door of our men’s’ haberdashery. As you enter you are challenged to identify and ring the secret bell (don’t worry it is easy) to gain entrance. Then you are transported back in time inside speakeasy that resembles establishments people would sneak into back during prohibition. We do not take reservations at Brooklyn's. You also do not need a password to enter (but we don’t mind if you want to have a little fun with our staff and use one). We seat on a first come first serve basis.
