Come on a #KnittingNook tour of Nikki's house in the woods in Volcano, Hawaii.
It's peacefulness, it's inspiration. I came from the city back to my hometown of Volcano, Hawaii, and every day I find myself taking a deep breath of gratitude. It's a smaller space, but it feels more expansive, particularly since I can work anywhere!

Recreate the bedroom of Miss Piggy from The Muppets in #DIYTheRoomMeredith with Meredith from The Papery Craftery.
Ever since I was a little girl, I've been fascinated by The Muppets. I love the craftsmanship of all the puppets and their unique personalities, especially Miss Piggy. She is so over-the-top and dramatic; very much the opposite of me. With this room, I'm indulging my ultra-girly side to make it perfect for this diva. I've chosen soft fabrics, a glam mirror, lots of pink and a bit of gold. Plus, a few adorable plush doughnuts, because this lady loves her sweets!

I am a design-enthusiast, sucker for good packaging design and total perfectionist, who loves to explore, wear stripes and nest when not in the studio.

How did you find CO+K and why did you join?
It's been so long since I joined I don't remember how I found it. But I loved so many cool things people were sharing and tutorials I found there I wanted to see more and I wanted to Favorite the projects I liked most.
What projects are you currently working on?
I don't know if it counts as crafting, but I've been making my own digital pdf planner.
I also got a messenger bag from a thrift store that lacked and real structure, so when I put stuff in it kind of collapsed in on itself. So I got some plastic canvas and lined the inside of the bag with it. But I want to somehow add pockets or such to it, so it doubles as a purse organizer too.

Despite being the second largest city in Denmark, Aarhus is a rather small, cosy city vibrant with students and student life and with a lot of focus on culture; 2017 saw Aarhus as the European Capital of Culture which shows that the small city can really hold its own on this front. Creativity is also a big part of everyday life here, and there are a lot of different craft-shops scattered around the city. Another great thing about Aarhus is its modest size, meaning that nature is just outside one's doorstep!
