How did you get started?
My sisters and I (we are triplets) opened Shine in 2012. We had another restaurant Trilogy Wine Bar and Lounge that has been somewhat of a Boulder icon and was open from 2000 until we sold it in 2009.
Shine is a restaurant, brewery, and event space. We brew all our own award winning beers on site as well as intentional herbal potions

What are your specialities?
Our food is local, organic, and has a holistic twist. All our meats come from local farms as does about 85% of our produce. We sprout and ferment for optimal digestion. Our kitchen is 100% gluten free and 100% GMO free.
What's your personal favorite thing on the menu?
Depends on my mood....
What's on the stereo?
I personally make all the playlists...
Daytime is relaxing... Frazzy Ford, Ben Howard, Jose Gonzalez kind of stuff and night we get a little more upbeat with reggae, random rab, DJ Drez, Desert Dwellers, Little Dragon etc. We also have DJ's playing in the restaurant Thursdays, Saturdays and Sunday brunch.

Do you host any special events?
We have a TON of events both public and private day and night in our private Gathering Place. We do everything from live bands, workshops, dance parties, holiday parties, yoga classes etc.
Is there anything else you'd like us to know?
We are triplet sisters. We are a community hub. We are one of the only women owned breweries in the country. We brew our own herbal potions as non-alcoholic drinks or to mix with your favorite spirit.
We have been restaurateurs in Boulder for 15 years!
