How did you get started?
Shady Lady opened in 2009. There are 3 partners, Garrett Van Vleck, Alex Origoni and Jason Boggs. We worked together at various bars and restaurant over several years and in 2007, decided to open our own place.
Where are you located?
We are located in downtown Sacramento at the corner of 14th and R st.
What are your specialities?
We focus on classic cocktails and whiskey but we also have an extensive beer list and a full kitchen
What's your personal favorite thing on the menu?
My favorite cocktail on the menu is called the Los Finales. It's a simple variation on the Last Word with mescal instead of gin and a house made pepper tincture
What's on the stereo?
We have a pretty eclectic selection on the stereo but we have life music on stage 4 nights a week and that is usually a mix of jazz, blues and country

Do you host any special events?
We are known for our New Years Eve party
