Learn how-to cook tomato soup and hummus with The Kitchen in Boulder, Colorado.
How did you get started?
The idea of The Kitchen started in 2002 when Kimbal Musk and Jen Lewin met Hugo Matheson on Pearl Street in Boulder, Colo. They shared a spontaneous dinner which spurred the idea to create a community bistro where friends and family could gather to enjoy good food, drink and conversation. The Kitchen opened its doors in March 2004. Kimbal, Jen and Hugo co-founded The Kitchen to have a deep sense of community through food.
Where are you located?

Two years later, in 2006, the co-founders opened The Kitchen Upstairs, a cocktail lounge, strategically located right upstairs from The Kitchen. Several years later, in 2011, The Kitchen Next Door, a community pub, opened its doors right "next door" to the original restaurant.
