About
Creating things has always been something that makes me happy, but not something that has always been in my life. I've always been creative, but it was in other forms (writing and music). During my first semester of college, I took a Photography class, saw how much fun the Art Majors were having, and I was hooked. Since that first semester, I've decided that I, too, will make a living doing what makes me happy: making art. That has expanded recently to making things for myself and others that can be used or worn everyday. Art for the galleries is fun, but I also want my work to be seen on a daily basis in a more casual context.

- commented on her comment Hello! Thanks for the question. I made my record newspaper print cuff by gluing the individual pieces down with Elmer's liquid white glue and then spraying the whole thing over with Modge Podge clear spray acrylic. So you are absolutely correct! to stefania d. 26 Sep 21:05

- commented on her comment I don't think it's that far away! :) I know you can use the foam under meat (http://www.liquideggproduct.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/mystery-meat.jpg) as Shrinky Dinks, but I've never tried it myself. :D Or bakery packaging! The clear plastic shrinks! to Naomi T. 24 May 18:15
- commented on her comment I bought my Shrinky Dinks for Inkjet Printers on Ebay! They're much cheaper there (it cost me $13 for 6 sheets) and I got mine fast...but it was a US seller. to Naomi T. 24 May 17:56

PA isn't far from Toronto is it?
It is Queen Victoria Day here in Canada. It is celebrated with fireworks and firecrackers. Do you think that you could do some imagery? Imagine the fool that dumped you on the receiving end......
I have lots of magazines that you are more than welcome to use/have. Just come to Canada and they will be yours!!!
Comfort hugs to you.
Naomi

Here in Australia (in my state at least), mid year exams for Year 12s are only for the science subjects and accounting. And I am in the lovely situation of doing three sciences: chemistry, biology and psychology. =P So yeah, fingers crossed it'll go okay. Thanks for the well-wishes!
Wow we do have alot in common. XD Thats so cool. I've been a strict veggie for about 5 yrs. Tryin to become vegan. I love animals.
Thats awesome. I was going for a college art degree too, but i dropped out after a year, cuz my school sucked (& finacial reasons). I knew more then the art teachers did! So for the past 2 years i've been makin art on my own, i'll probably go to a better college later.
It's nice to meet you. =D
But I'm pretty sure you can try big art/craft stores like 'Micheals', and theyll probably have them. =) I'm always amazed by what they have there. If not, maybe u can ask ur art teacher to order some? Maybe they'll do a lesson on it too. XD
Do let me know where you get yours from, I'd be interested to compare prices!
have a nice fun great week ,till later;-D
