A beautifully made project. I do wonder though, would you be willing to share the pattern or where you got it?

Wow thank you so much for the eyelet tip. I always had problems with cutting the fabric and then the eyelets would fall out. You're a life saver.

Hi Elana, I got the hook and eye tape from Spotlight, any fabric shop that sells haberdashery should have it, it comes on a roll paired together.

Elizabeth L, sorry but our scanner died and I am unable to do the pattern right now Sad It's on my long term to-do list!

Great tutorial - I usually use furnishing fabric to make corsets as it's quite stiff and heavy - never thought to recycle jeans but this is a great idea, thanks :-D xx

Thanks again for all the lovely comments.

Riley Y, I suggest Laughing Moon if you want an authentic looking corset, or try Butterick or Simplicity for a basic costume one.
I am in the process of scanning the pattern I used to make available on my blog (link at top of page)so come back soon!

TheSewingMurra, yes you do need boning to get the right shape and support. You can use alternatives such as cable ties if you want. The picture for step 4 shows the panel pieces just after they have been cut. I overlapped the edges to fit them in the photo Happy

I'm having trouble with the pattern, because I want to make my own. Do you have any pattern making sites you could suggest?

It is hard to make corsets that don't look like "loving hands at home" made them and yours looks very professional - fabulous job!

Wow, thanks so much for all your positive comments.
To Manda F., no the hook and eye tape would probably not last long with steel boning or tight lacing. If you are going to the expense of getting steel boning then definitely use a metal busk stick.

Awesome. Though, my only concern is will hook and eye tape hold the tension from the steel boning and lacing? Then again, I can't find busks or hook and eye tape anywhere! DX
