I'm still hand sewing, working only with fabrics right now because honestly what you do kinda intimidates me though I love the end result, gotta admit - those varying materials give way to so much detail. Of course we have heard of your big foot only i didn't know it was a Yeti as well.
We have alot of USA movies on tele so i'm raised with them.LOL
And like most other europeen countries we are under the spell of the USA.
Allthough more sounds are getting louder in mine country of dislike.LOL

Like halloween, we haven't that celebreathing but because of the stores it's a well known party becomming.
We have Saint Maarten in think in steade. but that is only in North Holland an province where i'll live very soon.LOL
i' must write my changing adress cards right now, my mum get stressed out this week she tought she lost me for ever.LOL
I know why i have blocked her for ten years out my live, it's still a traumatic issue for her. But i needed that time for myself. There were too much things to work through in therapy.
So i gave my adress to ease her down by telling her by phone. but i made a small gift of it, so i told her but you will get my adress change card.
We are on speaking terms but because i can't travel anymore i have seen her on her 80th birthday that 's 5 years ago.
now she is able to visite me in my new home, strange because it's just ten kilometers more.
I think it's all in her mind.LOL
okay, i must go to my work for today. have a great party , wooow a real apron to cook, John cooked everyday for me, he told me he was better in cooking dinners then i was.?!!! I have learned him to cook!!!!! LOL
i'll think that was only a clever idea of his own.;-D
He knew my strange habbits of food , and i ll t hink he didn't trushed it at all.
He knew that when i was alone i didn't cooked i only did friets in the oven.
he told me you must eat vegatables , fresh ones and raw.
so when we didn't eat together he only hang in a plasic bag in the fridge a carrot, to eat with my frieds.LOL
i loved it, it was a joke between us both.
It was the only day i was eating not good.LOL
Love it that you have read alot of halloween to make a movie of it, awesome.
i love the small scenes , i have one halloween snowball, that i love of the right atmosphere , when i both it the girl of the paydesk didn't liked it she found my bought things too scarry.LOL

Specially the dutch are very bad in mouring,. i had the same problems now i know how i must do it.LOL but it 's sad.
i'll still have some traumatic issues about the last years of John , but it helped me to mourn of him.
okay it wasn't my fave thing to do, but i'm glad i did it because otherwise i couldn't move to the other town.;-D
for my gp it was a traumatic exspirancy as well , we talked about it yesterday.
she was very gentle and friendly at that time to support me . i'll never forget that.

Hello my dearest friend from across the pondXD
hey i have great big news, yesterday i have received my key of my n ew home.
So right now i have two appartments.LOL
It looks like for some weeks i' m a righ girl to have two appartments in different locations.LOL
some of the adjustments aren't done yet, but they will come later.
i'll hope so;-D
still not knowing which wheels Haarlem will take over of Utrecht, and they had a whole year to think of it.
so it's still not a great situation.
it was a big day yesterday i loved to see the big hugh clouds of my sight view of one of the sliding walls, sooo beautiful!!! and sooo typical dutch.LOL
the light is nearby the seashore much brighter, i must adjust to that. allthought i like it.
it was strange to watch the trees they where almost bald allready some where, in utrecht the autumn isn't started and that's just 45 kilometers of each other in the same country.
strange.!!!
for such a small country.
today i have said goodbye of my dearest and friendly gp.
she was always a big supporting art loving friend for me.
it wasnt' sad because we both new we will see each other later in haarlem as friends.
she talked about the dramatic things that we have shared of my partners death.
she said Jet it was soooo traumatic for you and for me , and suddenly i had to cry, i have given her the heart tearyearking plushie.LOL
and my adresschange card that is really a tiny present as well.
now i'm writing those cards to send them for the mail;p-D
so about two weeks i'm living in Haarlem with my furries.
wolfje is really stressed out so she was sooooo scared that we couldn't get her in the cage to the vet for her yearly shots.
for the first time ever i had to asked him to visit her at home.
He was flabber gasthed because he knows i'm a handy clever owner.LOL
but the day after he realized it was much worse then he hd expetened , we had to use both of her hands to lay her down to give her her shots. and then she peeed us all over.LOL
she was two day angry on me, and on poor muis, it's not between them over.
it's here bewteen the both a silently war.-S
not my fave. but she loves again to be huged.
but i'm worried about her move, Gerard told me use some homeopatic drops to ease her down. i will.
because a big fight is not helping her to set her in the cage.
it will be not fine for t hem in such a empty house but that's better to adjust then later with all the boxes around the rooms.
I'm working still at my hugh recyling glass curtains.LOL
but it will be beautiful i think.
i met yesterday some of my neighbours they all were friendly and polite, like years ago here as well , now the atmosphere in this building isnt' good and nice. crumpy!!!!

Yeaah i know of that all the states are really seperated countries.
I have seen some movies that USA people are talking dutch lines, but i couldn't understand it.LOL it was good that it was underlined with dutch so i could read what they were telling in dutch.LOL
the pronoucing was very strange.LOl so if they told me it was russian i had believed them as well.LOL
but dutch is a hard langues for others. We have strange letter combinations that you don't are adjust sooo oftenly we tease foreneigers with those words.
Like Scheveningen. (it's the city nearby the Den Haag, that's for more people a difficult word, ) Pindakaas , you called it peanut butter,
there are more words but... this is enough.
We have a hard pronoucend g that alot of people can't say well. But some dutch people of the south can't say it well either .LOL
When i was 15 we had for a little while a Belgium student that stayed with us, and she couldn't say the g , they made funny jokes about it.
but thats the same with myself when i'm staying some time abroad as well.
but... the uk are always very polite and allthought you can't speak english very well they always tell you wooow you're speaking soo good english.LOL
yeaaah i really hope i will go soon to haarlem. Last time it was fine weather and i wanted to work outside on the balcony but... my above neighbours were sitting allready on it and were smoking t he whole time, so i had to shut all t he doors and windows.-S
Because i'm still stucked to home i felt like a prisoner that couldn't enjoy the weather.-S so i'm longing to Haarlem to my new home , where i don't have above neighbours only under and next to me. and no more a balcony just beneath me.
i have asked for some adjustments for my new pink chair. I don't know if i'm alowed to take them with me the both of them, but... i need it allready so i thought why not asking, perhaps i'm living here some months more.
It's now vacation time for the builders firms soo the building is laying down for weeks.-S
but i think i must try to enjoy myself here, i does, only my neck giving me too much troubles the last weeks, after the trip to Haarlem i have almost every day a migraine attack and my longs are really in bad shape.
so i 'm having less energy to do much. that's the worst part i think.LOL
i still must adjust i t hink to this condition. sometimes it goes well, but... sometimes ...-S
but happely i have a good sence of humour.LOL and that's helping me .
Last time i had again troubles with the chemistry and i thought okay Jet , you must make a comic of it. i will.

In holland you have to learn alot of other langues, Holland is a toeristic country.
As a child when i was walking thought the centre of amsterdam during a break of school , i always hated it that i couldn't talked my own langues because every tourist think that we can speak all their langues.
but it was a good exercizes.lOL
in Utrecht it's the same, but in my subsourding it's lesser.
i must adjust agian of speaking other langues in Haarlem. i live then in the middle of the old centre and... it's a touristic place as well.
Did i told you i have stood in my street to be. and saw my new to be appartment.
i don't know when i will move to there, i think nobody knows this any more.
i thought at first in july it will be september the first but.... i don't think that anymore i think it will be octobre-S
and the brace for my neck i have had finely the last fitting but now waiting for the finishing of it. it will cost more weeks.

oomph! s somtimes a little bit pervers, but i like songs like 'labyrinth' and 'sandmann'. the sond 'augen auf' has been published when i was in the 2nd grade (2002/2003). the music video was the first 'horrorfilm' i saw. all boys from my class sang that song the whole time and i was scared by the creepy little kid, which counts... :/
btw. i really like the word 'creepy' ... in germany it means 'gruselig' or 'unheimlich' but that doesn t sound as funny as in english

btw. you like rammstein? a friend of me loves them, too. he was on a concert some months ago.

wooow awesome such a big spider. they are beautiful to watch all the hairy legs and the body. I have seen them in petshops.

John had a terarium as well with iguans and big sized turtles. it was hughe and he made rocks and decoration all self, loved it, his pets too.
it was 3 meter by 1 meter by 2 m high.
it was a greenhouse that he had transformed in a terarium with a pond for them.
loved it.
His animals as well , inside the rocks he had built a heating pad so when it was cold in the night they all where hanging against it.LOL

hope it all turns out better and your spider friend will love it and get some eade down back.

yesterday i received finely a replay of sheila , i was worried about her.

sad, i 'm feeling sad as well, i had the hearing of the seccond balcony for my home to be and the lawer of that department for disabled people was horrible on paper but in real as well.LOL so i have given him a big same ugly replayed.LOL
Gerard was with me because i must lay down by traveling , i'm still too fracile to travel sitting, and still not having a good brace.
my neck is becomming worse .
I don't think i will got the seccond balcony driveable , i only want that the door will be lighter for me so i can opened myself.
but... it was good to tell the man that he was not right about what he wrote down about me . the board members where nice and kind and listened well.

but.. yesterday i heard that community worker for disabled people in haarlem found just out i had two wheelchairs. i told her i have told you that in august 2010 , she didn't knew that anymore. I'm not flabbergasthed because this is happened about the seccond door of the balcony as well.
but she told you can't have two wheels. i told her that i have asked for to make up her mind about this months ago because all t he home adjustments are made specially on that sizes.
and that i don't can use other things like buss and so on because of my neck condition.
so she said we will send you a medical to check it out again. ugh , don't like that, i had asked her please give me then an other solution.
but this all cost too many time.
still don't know when i will move , but i have standed in my new to be street and saw the outside of my new home.LOL
it was good and great but thinking of... that i will be stucked there as well make me sad.

Found out last week some new experiments i'm working on glass curtains , not the boring ones and thought why not making in them kind of buttonholes without sewing. with felting. but.... it was much easier to come with this idea then making it, all kind of problems.LOL but i think i have found out the solution.
then i'm sooo excithing and glad and cheerup and proud of myself.LOL

and i was proud of my teaset display project , i'm not handy with wood, that's to blame my fair of electric tools, sooo stupid because i know i can!!!!
but my mum was always telling us and warning about the fair and dangour of it.

I heard by the post office that specially the uk made all the packages of holland open. you know we are famous of our soft drug policy soooo they found my package very suspicious and everything was opened too the letter i had written for Sheila.LOL
it was horrible to watch the package they made later of it.-S

later i done a art quilt study and then i refound my 3d work again.

One of them is my fave nature envirement i have handbiked through it, it's a dune landskape and it was a hard heavy job.LOL
We need those dunes because Holland is beneath sea level several meters.

i think i 'm stonger of mind.
i have made up my mind and thought not again a somer and spring stucked to home, I 'm stucked to home more then a year now and i know that it didn't help me to recover of the third last whiplash so i must made a plan.
i'm trying to got a brace for my neck that will got my head in place the whole time.
I don't have any in between verbraes any more all the disk are gone and the small parts are moving inside so the marrow spinal canal is too small and specially at 4C so i must be careful to don't get a broken spine.
thats the info you must know to understand my problems with bumbs on the road.LOL
every one is one too much. i don't have the disk anymore so my verbaes are bumbing the hole time un each other that is giving me the migraines and the pathalogic never pain. so i have asked for a prescribtion for such a collar of my md, he likes me so it was easy.LOL
i will go to that therapist that will make a model of my neck for the brace the 12th. that will be soon.
i really hope it will work then i 'm like normal people mobile.LOL
the pink wheels is nice to watch i can't drive in it. they have done it wrong, but they will come to talk about it, so i have good hope i will ride in them soon;-D
my moving is prosponded for one or two months, not fine, but i must be patience;-D

Yeaah that's true , first i don't like those things to do of memorials but it's better to do that and to have some mouring periods.
I have learned now my lessons, LOL first i couldn't do it, i had too much things to do to mourn of John my partner but when Jeroen died my friends helped me out, and because i' m a board member and the only wife , i had to do all the things to arrange the flowers the card and the speech. but it was good for me.
so glad that i have done it, so it's now much less harder to work on the art gift ,

i'm busy at t he moment with making an art gift for the yearly prize of the organisation Disability Affairs . I have it almost done;-D
proud of it, and too of getting the permission to make it.
It's a prize in the name of my friend that last year suddenly died, and it's offered by the politican party where he was working for, so it's importend for the organisation and for his family , every year 17 februari it will given to the prize winner.
it's a serious piece but too with a little joke. Jeroen and my self had always fun and he would loved this idea of mine.
Had to laught about a solution of Gerard, i had thought of a solution of my own to hang the thing on the wall, but Gerard came with a men solution.
i thought woooow that 's a real men solution so i must try this out.
it' wasn't it all, i have had the whole day act like a real carpenter girl (not the singing ones!!!!)LOL
and i messed a lot of thing up by this try-S so i ended with mine .
Have made today the construction and have set it again in the primer.
i will work on it tomorrow
and i'm busy with my moving must do a lot for it, filling forms and speaking with both community workers of both cities to try that they buy my suplies of each other . -S

Cool that you built your trike. I don't think it's odd at all. My brother won a national award for one of his trike designs. It was flame red, twisted long forks with a two seater seat. The pillion one was raised. He put a 1300 engine in it. It could catch birds....Lol. I spent so much time in the garage when I was a teenager I didn't know how to cook when I left home. I could set points though. I always had oil stuck under my nails and ground into my knuckles. When I went out I wore lace gloves with my rings over them.....well I was a teenager in the 80's...Lol. I later trained as an engineer, nurse and jeweller and my fella was in the Royal Engineers in the Army. My thing was to go to university to study medical engineering and spare part surgery. Think that's where the gallows humour comes in. We have a Harley it's a Dyna low rider, the centenary special edition one. It purrs

No Jonathan no snow here lol am in Puerto Rico right now I have been here for 15 years and I traveled 3 years ago to conn to visit family and it was sooooo different from what I remember. Almost every where I went people spoke spanish I was surprise and happy. Your dolls remind me of my little girl she wanted to make a monster for a project but she wanted her monster to be a tree and you know tree in spanish is arbol so she call her monster albor she did it with string on paper with pointy teeth and hands and feet and it has fruit and everything its really nice I love it. yes we have the same problems in holland , to less jobs and all for high education jobs, and only for younger people.
My sis is just 50 and is for many years a teacher but most jobs they told her she was too old, they don't say it at loud , they tell only we searching for a younger one that is fitting in the team better-S
i have learned of my own that sharing and trying all kinds of things out , makes your work well known and then you will get much sooner a question for a job.
and still asking other if they h ave anything for me to do as well.

Hiya...I'm lucky, I moved into a bigger house So many broken watches....so little time. I have been known to buy food stuff for the container as it been 'just right' as Goldilocks would say. So many materials are thrown away...argh. It makes me cross, so we recycle. My old pantry has become a haven of cardboard, plastic and wood. Enjoy treasure hunting

You're welcome. I have done model making in the past and learnt that it takes patience and a keen eye for using alternative materials. I'm a bit quirkey in the way I go into a hardware shop and see things differently. Have a look at my tiny hat, it says it all. I get materials from second hand shops, flea markets...hell... I pick things up off the road....I call it a 'looking walk' when I'm foraging Are you a hoarder too? ...Lol

Love your alternative quirky take on life. Your characters are great. I make wire based figures for stop motion animation. It takes a lot of patience so I can relate to the work you have put into your dolls. They are grusomely cute ;)

hey i have thinking . You must join an altered art site too and a site for dolls, I had a lot of profite to join a membership of quilting women didn't like it but because of that the museon that has asked me could find me .
and some friends had put me on a waitinglist in some organisations to exhibite , all tiny bit are helping.
saw that when you are well know in this circuit people will asked you to join their show, or just ask them like Martha sewart.
i'm not such a fan of her crafting but she is a great inviter for crafting persons and try to join fairs.
mayby this is helping in holland we have doll fairs.
saw a lot of dollmakers there as well and lots of materials and special technics.

hey some advice, for the first main picture you can beter use a laying picture not a standing one.
because now nobody can see the picture at once, so you will be got less faves.
I have learned my lesson about that as well.

i love history and old buildings as well, John my partner and heart mate for many years loved it too and so we had made a lot of pictures of every time we were in Belgium of ruine or halfbroken buildings, and some family of him thougth that there wasn't any normal buildings.
The colours in Belgium are differend then in Holland.
Thats why we loved that to much .
still love it, and ... history is very importend, the knowing of how we came to this level and were we coming from.
but to of making still the same strange discisions.
On the art academy we had lessons of culture history so you learn to make more broad sizes fiew of those history.
I loved it,
i had to give tours too for my study in museons and it was funny when i discoverd that in the 1800 age when the dresses were very width on the hips from the richt ladies that the furnuture has to change too. And still they only could sit not easely still only on a small piece of the front of the chair.

I have almost a broken neck that the problem and it's sooo bad that they are only waiting when it get 's wrong , now they don't do anymore because it's too scary-S
but i'm still a happy girl and have learned to coop with this, only must live some bit slowlier.
and looking what i still can, and finding solutions but i'm creative so it works well.LOL
still have some disagreements with Gerard he isn't agree of some of my solutions and still hope i will give my hugh felting project on some hugh statues up.lOL
but i'm almost finished, only waiting for the spring and summer so i can do it outside. in my appartment i have tried it out but , wasn't soo smart, too wet.LOL
but this year i couldn't do it, my neighbours are too heavy smokers that the whole day smokes on the balcony outside and i can't stand the smoking air not more-S
and the year before that i didn't got on my balcony for a half year during the spring and summer because of the painters-S
Our building is split in half the appartments that become empty will be sold and no longer for hiring-S so all the social things we had shared with the living groups are almost gone, not on mine floor, but of many others it did.
and some of the new owners didn't understand the social shape and how you must live in a big flat building.-S
that i think the big issue , so i'm glad that i will move to an other city.
and on the top floor of it. and more importend in a allready fit for me totally driveable building with more help.

on my tute of the paste flour you can find the recipy of making past flour it gaves a smooth surface and looks like cold procelein.
so i have seen on there other smart recipy 's for crafting.

I live in Utrecht in Holland that a big city in the middle of our smal country, We have built our own country, because morst of the land is beneath the sealevel.
on the canals you can see the ships are higher then the cars and houses , it's strange to see but i'm used to that.
We are great builders of bridges and dikes.LOL
Utrecht is a very very old town, it\s one of the 4 big towns , it's a university city, i love the city of his old history we were in the middle ages a very religion city , we had have living here in europa the only pope in those day's for a while.
But the roman had build the city really, there a lot signs still to see.
but i will move next year , to an oder city, very exciting of it.
It's a smaller city but with a big histrorical center as well.
In europe and in Holland specialy we have less spaces so everything is much nearly then by yours.
and by my neigbourcountries.
But in this town i live in a suburb of the town, it's build during the end 60th's we had a big shortage of houses so this was one of the bigest new envirments At first it was awesome and expensive to live in those big appartments, but after all the neigbourhood became more and more a sleeping envirent and people would love to have a house with a garden some years later when the shortage was no longer such a problem.
i live here now 30 years, i live in a flat with on every level a living group, i have seen all the kids of my neigbours becoming partens as well, soooo strange.
I loved the sharing , but i need more help and care and i don't get the help , so that was the big reason to move .
in Haarlem i will live freely on my own but i can call the helping and caring hours i have got on 24 daily basis during the whole week.
so i will become a much more normal live again.
now i must alwlays go out my bed or early in bed because of my helping people shedule.
soooo i'm happy and i got a new appartment in the middle of the old centre, soooo great,
It's an art and culture town , lot's of artist has become there famous, i don't need that.
but it's closer to the seashore, i love the seashore,
now i'm surounded of cultivated woods.LOL
this week i have started with my art work again, sooo happy of that.
my house is my working place.LOL
i have had a workingplace out of my house, i loved it but okay sometimes live don't go the way we like.
but surounded with my daily work is great , don't have to travel.LOL
