Step 1You will need two pieces of thin picture glass measuring 2" x 1 1/4" and a new razor blade. Wash both pieces of glass carefully in hot, soapy water and then rinse in hot vinegar water to clean off any grease. Dry thoroughly with a clean towel.

Step 2Place the blade between the two pieces of glass. Avoid handling the glass at the edges as your fingers are naturally greasy. Peel back the paper from the copper foil (I have used 1/2" foil) and wrap the edges of the glass to make a "sandwich". Overlap the foil when you reach the end.

Step 3Smooth the foil down with your finger nail or the back of a spoon on both sides of the glass.

Step 4Plug in your soldering iron and, as it heats up, take a soft paintbrush and dip it onto the liquid flux. Paint all the copper foil with the flux, including the sides. (Without flux, your solder won't stick to the copper foil).

Step 5Pick up the heated soldering iron and touch it to a small piece of led free solder. Using the tip of the iron, run the solder along the edges of the copper foil, coating it completely.

Step 7Make a loop to hang the pendant. Using jeweler's pliers, wrap a thin piece of copper wire around a paint brush to form a loop. Now bend the wire to wrap the loop and cut to size with the jeweler's cutters.

Step 8Paint the copper loop with flux and solder it to the top of the pendant. (As copper and glass conduct heat it is advisable to hold the glass between pliers ot tongs).

Step 9Wash your pendant carefully with a damp sponge to remove any grease, taking care not to overwet it. Now pop it on a chain or cord and wear it immediately!
