Embroidery
Simple and effective, this short project is great for an autumnal evening and for mastering that oh-so-simple-looking, yet just slightly tricky French knot stitch. The pattern here consists of a French knot followed by, and connected to, a running stitch.

Step 3
Hold the tapestry wool taut and wrap around the needle four times to make a good-sized knot. Without letting go of the wool, go back down through to the inside of the glove, slipping the needle through the wraps to form a knot. Bring the needle back up onto the surface of the glove a little further down the glove from your French knot - http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/french-knot-2
