A very easy and personal gift for anyone, guitar player or not!
I was having some difficulties thinking of something to get my boyfriend for Christmas. Then, suddenly, and idea struck! I would make him some custom guitar picks for him to use, and stick them on a key chain!
So here's a guide to what I made. You can stick them on a key chain, a necklace, or make some earrings out of them; they're very versatile. However, if you are actually going to use them, the mod podge wears very quickly, so don't use them too often.

  • How to make a guitar pick. Customized Guitar Picks - Step 1
    Step 1

Get some guitar picks. It's better to use medium gauge, because their easier to cut and make a whole through than the heavy, and aren't too flimsy. Also, use translucent or transparent picks to you can see what you're tracing.

Using the knife, make a hole in the pick. Pick a spot close to the corner, but not close enough that the hole goes of the edge. Just spin the pick around from under the knife. It may take a while, especially if you're using a thicker pick.

It should now look like that picture over there. As also seen in the picture, take out your nail file and start sanding that thing!

Use the pick to trace around the images you want to use. You can really do this step at any time up to this step, but I just like how the sanded pick looks like beach glass >.<
After tracing the images/pictures, cut them out.

Put one of the pictures on top of the pick, and poke a hole through it. Then do the same with the other. And don't wait until the picture is stuck on the pick, cause that is really messy.

Apply mod podge to one side of the pick, and let it dry slightly before you put the image on there. When you do stick the picture on it, make sure to use a lot of pressure the keep it stuck on there and to keep the bubbles out. After one side dries, but the other picture on the other side.
