Dollar Store Craft Swap!
This swap is for vets only. (No newbies, please)
This is a great swap for anyone who wants a bit of a challenge! The objective of this craft swap is to make 4-5 small items out of things you find at the dollar store... without spending more than $5! Of course you can use things you have on hand as well, but only things like findings and tools (crimp beads, head pins, pliers, scissors, etc). The main focal point of each item you make should be an item you got at the dollar store. You can make jewelry, accessories, stationery--whatever you can make for just a few dollars!

Yes for international shipping.
I don't have any $1 stores, but I'll totally check out the Walmart and little craft store to find something
Awesome! I hope we get lots of people to sign up for this
I'd love to join, but I don't know of any dollar store in my town and none of the craft stores I usually go to has a $1 section... ((
I'd like to do this but don't have the time to make stuff, maybe I could buy things and send them to Mary to make for her partner?
I'm in sounds fun!

international shipping ok
@Mary- you could still find a few things at the craft store that are very cheap and use them. That's what I'll be doing. My stores dont have a $1.00 section, so instead I'll be looking for things to buy that are $1 or close to it.
@Nikki- I don't think that's a good idea, since everyone singing up is looking for a finished product, not $1 shop stash. Since craft materials at the $1 shops tend to be small, this swap should be very easy to finish. If you don't think you'll have time to meet all the requirements, Don't sign up.
If you wanted to do a personal stash swap or something you have time to handle, go check out the Swap Request.
Hell, I'm sure I'll find a way to work this out.

@Nikki: thanks for the offer, you're very sweet, but I don't think it's fair for you to send me stuff and not receive anything back. I'm sure I'll be able to find something, it just occurred to me that the Chinese shop around the corner has a nice selection of random items for 1 euro or less - I'll have a look.
There ya go
The Walmarts here all have $1 sections, usually there are beads, rolls of lace, and all sorts of jewelry-making supplies. Plus we have dollar stores in every major town so I think I might be lucky! lol
