need new ideas for old shirts

Hello everyone Happy

I have two old shirts that I love to death, but I just cant part with, I need some ideas of what to do with them, I'd love to be able to still wear them. They're both a little snug, and I'd love to fix that problem if possible!

This shirt I got for christmas about 3 years ago and I love it.

This is a sleeveless hoodie that I haven't had long, but I have a bigger size that fits much better, I'm showing the front and back. I'd also like to say that I don't own a sewing machine, nor do I know how to use one (yet) and my hand sewing skills are minimal. Thank you so much for your help!

Okay, so for the nightmare before christmas, I had a shirt like that that I LOVED, but I dont think this idea would work wel for the disney shirt.

Cut the sides up [where the stitches should be], put holes at about inch intervals all the way down, get some black string and string it through the holes, I suppose kind of like a shoelace. So its like two corsets down the side [not to mention it looks badass, and goes with the theme of nightmare before christmas]. If you feel weird about showing your sides, which you shouldn't if you are skinny enough to fit in those, then just wear a flesh colored tank under it, or even a black one, or ... any color. lol.

for the sleveless, I'm thinking if you just wear a tank under it and have it unzipped, it shouldn't be to tight because its open. Or you could make it into a pillow case [since it seems to match your bedsheets] with minimal sewing, and little work.
