30th Birthday Bash!

I'm turning 30 this year... which everybody seems to think is such a HUGE deal (not me, 40 seems big to me), but at least I get a big party!
My hubby is willing to help out a lot, but I have to come up with some kind of theme to focus both of our efforts. I would love to have some kind of fancy dress party, but as it's mostly just family, people won't dress up.
My ideas so far:
*Hollywood/Movie theme decorating with movie posters and film reels and a popcorn box cake.
*Garden Party theme with flowers and tea and stuff.
*Hawaiian theme with leis and pineapple and ukulele music.
*I'm also tempted to go really juvenile, like dinosaurs or Harry Potter, but I have kids so maybe not.

Any suggestions toward other themes, or decorations/cake ideas for already mentioned themes, would be much appreciated.

Im living in Hawaii right now so Im all about the Hawaiian theme. But the Hollywood theme sounds like fun too. Maybe you could put a bunch of ideas in a bowl and then pick one.

I'm thinking "pick one from a bowl" might be the best bet. I'm horrible at deciding for myself, but can really get behind an idea if someone else picks for me.
