pillow stuffing

I am making a decorative pillow and I was wondering if there is anything I might have laying around the house I could stuff it with?
(I have no old pillows I could take apart)
Are plastic bags too noisy and uncomfortable even if I pac them tight?

Yeh plastic bags will be really noisy and crunchy not too comfy either.

How about cotton wool?

Old tee shirts cut up are softer. I usually cut them in strips, then into smaller pieces. You would need lots though. Lots of haberdasheries sell wadding which comes on a roll. That works well if it is cheaper than buying stuffing. You just need a good pair of scissors Happy

I use old socks witch are missing a pair or have holes in them.Wash them and chop them to small pieces. You get really comfy pillows and it's recycling. Happy I picked up this from my mother.

One thing though, this time of year most fabric sales are having a sale on stuff like "Buffalo Snow" and other stuffing meant to be used as decorative fake snow... from what I can tell it is exactly like the stuff I normally use... I got a bunch of it for like $2-3 for a huge bag that normally cost me $10.
