Draw String Bag...
Can somebody make a how to or tell me on here how to make draw stringy bits on bags pleeeeaaaase? Thank yoou x
You need an oblong of fabric, and then you've gotta zig zag all the edges, then press (with an iron) a little bitty hem all the way around, don't sew it though.
then you've gotta fold the fabric in half, widthways, right sides together. stich along one of the long seams all the way up to the top. on the second one, stop about 5 or 6cm from the top, then turn a 1cm hem under.
then fold the top edge over, making a 3cm seam, and then get your drawstring and stitck a safety pin on one end so you can guide it through the 3cm seam you just made. et voila!
(you can make one that pulls from both sides by doing the slit on both sides)
i hope that all makes sense.
nope not at all! my reading problem (or dyslexia whatever!) and my possible dyspraxia let me down! and is it me or is the writing reeeeeeaaally reeeaally small now? I can't read black text on a white background so well in the first place now its haaarder!
Yes I thought it had but my computer's been playing up loooooads tonight so i assumed it was my fault.
Have you considered going on craftster and searching for 'drawstring bag' and maybe tutorial too
you should be able to get a photo how to.
Oh yeh I'll do that but here is always much easier.
I kind of made one for my pyjama sack - http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/pyjama_sack
Yeh I did a quick search before I made this post but I just can't follow instructions very well or at least take them in I think I've come up with my own way of doing it hahaha.
