Does anyone enjoy designing tattoos? :)

I've been trying to design an arm piece for my boyfriend for ages and am having no luck incorporating the whole thing together,
I was wondering if anyone liked drawing Tattoos and would be willing to draw something up for me? or just some tips would be fine. I'm desperate for any ideas! any help would be greatly appreciated Happy

the piece is for the top of the arm shoulder to just before the elbow
the theme is kind of Rockabilly, skulls, stars eightballs dice cards ect
I was trying to make it flow together with a spider web background but everything I draw up just doesn't look right and I don't have access to any good drawing programs on my computer!

here's a few pics I've collected of the net for ideas

This seems interesting... I'm going to try to photoshop something together... No promises that I'm going to be able to do it or it's going to be any good. ^^

Autonomous, you're going to wish you never mentioned that :p. You'll be bombarded with requests soon I bet lol. How long have you been tattooing?

And sorry Zina, I'm pants at drawing stuff Happy But looks like you have a few helping hands here already. I started looking at the same sort of thing a little while back to have on my upper arm. With sparrows, a pin-up sat on an 8-ball with nautical stars and a skull and stuff so quite retro/rockabilly type. Unfortunately I got stuck designing it and gave up Happy

Ok well I got some images together and (badly) photoshopped them together in a way that I thought would make sense. When I looked at your reference pics I got the idea of having a skeleton playing cards with some flames in the background. My "design" is obviously rough and the skull face might not be your/his style but it's an idea... I was going to try to add dice and pool stuff to it but I didn't want to crowd it. I hope it helps you a bit. ^^

Thanks Autonomous that would be great! take all the artistic license you need! I can't believe how lucky I am to have found a tattoo artist Happy that is so cool! The photos I posted were just a rough idea of the type of objects I wanted to incorporate into the piece! Thanks again for your help! can't wait to see what you come up with!

Thanks hahaha. I can't wait to see what a real artist can come up with Happy

@Silver Moon - I would love to see the tats you designed that your mom/friends got. (if you have pics that is) I love looking at all kinds of tattoos. I totally agree with you about tats being "scary" because of their permanent nature. I want to get a couple tattoos but I'm the kind of person that thinks about it forever before getting it (my friend just jumps in on a whim sometimes). I want to make sure that I wont regret what I get.

^^ thanks. I liked the cigar too! I think that's why I chose that skull. Smoking a cigar just screams poker.

@Zina - if you would like a drawing program on your computer for the future you should check out a free internet program called "Paint.net" it's a free download and the program is kind of set up like photoshop. It's obviously not the same quality but it's good for doing some "photoshopping" just for your own use. It has some good tools in it that photoshop uses and a couple extra fun filters that are neat to play with. I actually used this program before I could get photoshop.
