Your Zombie Tips...?
So I'm working on a project and I'm looking for your tips in the event of a zombie apocalypse. =P I've got lots so far, but more couldn't hurt. They can be short and simple, or a little more descriptive. You can also include your or others nifty quotes if you want. ^_^
Have you seen Shaun of the Dead? It's laugh out loud funny and full of cliche's......bite me...Lol ;D
my husband has this idea for a zombie emergency kit. so far essentials include chain saw and blow torch. he has some others. i'll ask him tonight and get back to you
You can pack all the weapons you want, but a big sturdy wall is the best defence against zombies. Canned food is useless without a good knife or a tin-opener. Wind-up torches never run out of batteries. Secure a fresh water supply as soon as possible.
Also flamethrowers are a rubbish weapon to use. They turn the situation from "Aaaargh! Zombies!" to "Aaaargh! Zombies on fire!"
If you go to the site the Anti Craft they have a zombie survival kit
Wow, Pandora you have really thought this out. I want to be with you if there is ever a Zombie Apocalypse !
Thanks for the great ideas ladies. =]
Use old vinyl records as weapons......you can take heads off with those things when thrown like a frizbee. Good way to get rid off cheesey tunes too!
Be VERY careful about where you hide. Hiding in the attic may sound like a good idea, but if they get into the house, you're completely stuck. Same with basement, really. Old war bunkers are probably the best bet, so it's convenient to know where your nearest one is.
Melee weapons mean you have to get up close, but there's no risk of running out of ammo. Also some good biker leathers should help if they do get too close!
My boyfriend and his friends had Bridgestone Arena zombie-planned out, when we went to see Muse a month back. It was hilarious, within minutes of being there, they were discussing it seriously...But at least if/when Z-day comes, I'll be safe with my smartie!
Good point Knittin' Kitten! A lot of modern leathers have kevlar re-inforcement too. Great for keeping out bites. I want to recommend picking up a helmet but although it would protect you from head bites and infected blood spray, it would restrict your visibility, which could be crucial.
When selecting a safe-house, remember that you'll need more than one emergency exit if the building is compromised at the main entrance.
And a very important one: Zombie films show us that although zombies are scary, the real problem is that people do foolish or dangerous things when panicked and cooped up! Help your fellow survivors stay calm and collected.
ZombieLand had some fantastic survival tips. DOUBLETAP is my favorite rule.
Also it depends SO MUCH on what zombie we're looking at. If it's a Romeo zombie you'll be alright if you can hole up somewhere as they move very slowly and get distracted easily, but you have to remember that they are intelligent - think of them like you would wolves. Rage victims run fast but have lost all intelligence. I think for them, the countryside would be the best place to escape to. You can see them coming a mile off and because they're unorganised, chances are it'll be just the one and you can pick them off easily. Also remember that most zombies will be able to get across water, so that isn't always the best idea. Oh and it's helpful if you know what kind of zombie in terms of splatter as well - a rage zombie can infect you by splatter, a Romero zombie cannot.
And to add to Pandora's bit about people being stupid, can we all please remember that once someone has been bitten that's it, you just kill them straight away or they're gonna kill you!
This might help you out
