No more wedgies! (ideas?)

Ok, I'll be up front - I'm not a sewer, seamstress, tailor, or even remotely close! I make jewelry, sometimes crochet, and make a mean tuna fish sandwich. That said, do you guys know anything that can be added to undies to keep them from sliding up? I mean, I see tube tops with a tiny thin plastic or silicon clear strap sewn in place, and that works great. Why not on the very edge of undies, to hold them nicely in place? (this isn't TMI, is it?) I just bought a $16 pair of undies with something like that (I think they call it "Wonderful Edge") but really, $16 per pair?! I'm not sure how sustainable that one is! So what do you think - is there a way for me to convert my undies to non-wedgies? Thanks for the input!
