    well, have a radio in there(so there is noise) make a nice soft bed, like put a blanket in a box. Cats love boxes. Give him some toys to play with. and another good Idea,

    wrap a small clock(it has to tick) in a soft blanket and place it in his bed. Also a hot water bottle is a good idea.

    The clock sounds like the moms heart and the hot water bottle reminds him of his family.

    well, we always let our kitties have free rein of the house, the food and litter were in one room. Believe me kitties know where the litter is
