Tara, I thought that initially, but it's a completely different construction... You don't make a tube with a casing in by the looks of it... it looks like an extended waist band making straps at either side of a glorified and very, very wide apron.

I REALLY like the look of these! Happy x

Sock Monkeys? Sock Rabbits? Sock Puppets? Maybe you could split the socks, then cut squares and make sock square patchwork cushions? x

Heeey, thanks for the links and ideas Happy I've never been to a baby shower! It's a bit weird to know what to organise!

I found this AMAZING craft store yesterday in the middle of the smallest mall in town, and I got all the stuff I need to make the invitation cards Happy
I'm making a patchwork baby quilt from a jelly roll I picked up yesterday (it's going sooooo well!!) and I'll have enough to make a little cushion too I think. I'm going to make a diaper cake too. My husband and I are buying them their baby monitors for the bedrooms...

so, all I need to do is organise a day, send out the invites, decorate my friends house with pretty girlie things... My mum's business is making cakes, so she's going to make some little cupcakes and I'm going to make pretzel sticks Happy

Is it normal to have favours for the guests to take home? Should I try to get hold of baby pictures of baby's mummy and daddy for a photoboard? I thought I might do a load of finger food for people, hoping that everyone will have had lunch before they come out...

EEEhhh it's making me so nervous!! I kinda failed at organising her hen night/bachelorette party when I was her chief bridesmaid (I suffer from depression and things got bad so I couldn't help much) so I REALLY want this to be amazing!!

    HELP!

My best friend's baby is due on August 16th, she's having a little girl!

Anyway, she wants a baby shower party, and she has asked me to organise it! I'm VERY excited about the prospect...

BUT, I don't know where to start?

We're going to have it between 2pm and 6pm on a Saturday afternoon, then all the boys will come back the family will go home and we're going to have a BBQ party afterwards Happy

I need ideas for what to do in four hours? invite wording? who to invite? food? cake? presents? traditions? All on a budget please!

    EEEEeeee!

Thanks in advance for your ideas!
