is there any specific rule for the handmade item? I think it should be clearer so the swappers got more or less the "same". I think it's rather unfair if one gets a small felt keychain and the other one gets a slingbag, for example. it's not about the item, its about the effort.

this is an early teaser for Vicky. I'm down with making the last item, and excited to finish it. The teaser only consist of the 3 handmade items by me, since the small bought items are still on the way here (they're also handmade). Would be nice if everyone could post a teaser or update information about their swaps too
Hi Joss. my swap with vicky is doing fine, I've finished the first item and now on the second one. We're making 2 plush, 1 free item and 2 small bought items - which I can't found in any stores nearby so I ordered them online.
Suzanne's items are finally here!! I'm so excited. Here is what she sent me. I love everything! My boyfriend and I are trying the candy right now. It's starting to get cold here so the hat will be perfect for me because it covers my cold ears. I also love the fox keychain! Plus I'm gonna be able to have good memory about Breaking Bad (since I already finished watching the show).

TV shows: breaking bad, the IT crowd, the BBT, bones, scrubs, Sherlock, futurama.
Reason for appeal: It was my first swap here and got flaked, occurred around 2 months ago. Partner never contacted me again after the sent out date, nor that she at least told me if she received my package.
NOTE: please angel me only if there's an available angel and or others already get their angels too
Really? hmmm never heard of that one. Hope this time the thread helps instead of vice versa. But yeah, you are right, sometimes people can exaggerate and does not understand the matter. I think I can add that to the requirement: flaking is not counted if you receive the items and don't like them.

hey Joss, I think its a good idea if we coordinate our thread. If someone report to my swappers black list thread or just stating they've been flaked I will suggest them to go here. what do you say? I've been flaked on too, but I think I might fill in the form to get an angel if there are more than enough angels for the others.

So lately there are several cases of flaking in swaps. Generally the person who flakes could get away with it because they do it in several different thread. To prevent similar case to happen again, I discussed with other members of the site (mainly Vicky and Kat) and we decided to create this list. However there are several things that you need to note before deciding to accuse someone as flaking a swap (not all are mandatory):
IMPORTANT NOTE: A person shall not be considered as flaking just because you receive your swap items and do not like them!
1. (mandatory) There are minimum 4 weeks of undelivered package (after shipping statement from your partner) and or with minimum of 2 weeks without contact after you ship your package, with your swap partner.
2. (optional) Similar case happens to someone else either in the same or different thread of swap, and both of you had agreed that no. (1) applied to you both.
Further case:
3. If after the person's username is listed and they contact you with a reasonable alibi (such as accident, or other life threatening situation) or the package arrive, you have the obligation to contact either Vicky (vickyninja) or me to clarify the matter.
4. If case no. (3) applies and the person is proven innocent, you should post a clarification which mentions the person's username in this thread so the username would be deleted from the list. Accusing someone when proven innocent in the end is unacceptable.
5.You will have one week to clarify the matter if no. (3) and (4) applies, if not your name will be put in separated list for "wanted for clarification".
6. If turns out you are proven to fake your case in order to get a swap angel, your name will be listed instead.
When stating your problem please refer to the numbers in order to make your explanation shorter and understandable. I know some other member would be more than willing to help me, but since I'm the thread host I just want to make sure everything will run well here.
