They may use plastic these days (I've seen commercials for 'em), but my first thought is INFECTION! BTW . . . be careful with the snipping! I know a foster parent whose hubby got snipped and she turned up pregnant a few months back. Maybe it was the mailman, but she swears it was her hubby.

I like the girl who is dressed up in the "We Can Do It" costume. I think her name is Rachel.

Great idea! We have a used book store in Knoxville, TN and they always have books outside of the store for free. I should browse through there sometime and do my part to recycle. I can't wait until you're finished and post the project!

I can't really think of a fave project. I make so many little things because my skills are limited. Check out my profile and see what your faves are. I really love all my creations, but my embroidered projects are probably at the top o' my list.

I am doing so much embroidery right now. I'm am absolutely addicted to Sublime Stitching (who just joined this site yesterday!). They have the coolest embroidery patterns in the whole world! Y'all should check out their shop at www.sublimestitching.com. I probably unofficially own stock in the company now from all the stuff I buy from them.

I wish my mom still did this, or at least taught me at a young age to . . . She used to sew ALL her own clothes, even bikinis! When I was young she would make me and my sis the most awesome Halloween costumes. One year I was a mermaid. It was the best costume ever!

I was scared to take it at first, too. It just doesn't seem natural not to bleed, but I've been on it for over a year and it's been the best treatment I could have ever gotten for my endometriosis! It was either the shot or a full hysterectomy. What really scares me are those metal IUD's that are implanted. What if it rusted or dislodged and poked some vital organ? Sharp metal things in the hoo-ha can't be good.

My virgin ears are offended! Yeah right . . . This is a family site for God's sake!!! LMFAO! You want to hear something strange? My last BF REFUSED to get off when we had sex! He said it was too "messy." I finally had to convince him that the "messiness" turns me on. Is that not the weirdest fuckin' shit you ever heard in your life? Men are retarded . . .

Ha Ha! I don't have a period anymore! I have really bad endometriosis, so I get the Depo shot every three months. If I were to have my period I'd be in so much pain I wouldn't be able to leave the bed for a week. The downside is that I'll probably never have kids, but there are tons of kids around the world who need homes. Besides I'm still a 10 year old in a 30 year old body! LOL

Michelle, I hope your depression is getting better. It's tough, but you've got to come to the realization (although it's a very twisted one) that you have been touched by this affliction for a reason. That's what I remind myself everyday when I can't get out of bed or I've stayed up for three nights on a manic high. You're intelligent, talented, and caring. As long as you see this as a battle of good over evil, you will definitely persevere! If I've survived (and others around me have as well) for the past 15 years; I KNOW that you can do it! I'm so glad that we all have such a great support system here! Put on that Betty-Bad-Ass suit and fight this shit! You'll definitely come out stronger in the long run. It's just been during this past year that I've been able to battle my own demons and I'm definitely a stronger woman for it. We're always here for you!
