What concerts have you been to?
hmmm now my list looks even more pathetic than it first did...
- Behind Crimson Eyes (seen them twice)
- The Mission in Motion
- Ellington
- Cat Empire
didn't particularly like cat empire because i'm not into their music and, im sorry, but there were way too many little kids and preteens running around.
Wow. You guys are so lucky!! >.< I've never seen anyone i extremely love (except 1). No metal/hard rock bands come to Kentucky, and if they come to Ohio, their tickets are outrageously priced. & im poor. It sucks. Heres all who ive seen:
+ Janet JAckson (w/ 112)
+ Backstreet Boys (w/ Shaggy, other time w/ The Click 5) Seen twice!
+ T.I. & M.I.M.S (w/ Nappy Roots & other rappers i dont remember.) ...sister made me go. >.>
+ Linkin Park (w/ chiodos & Coheed & cambria)
+ Slipknot (w/ coheed & cambria)
+ Smile Empty Soul (MY FAVORITE BAND ALIVE!) Last febuary. So happy. And i met them!!
I've also tried to see Korn 6 times!!! My entire life, & everytime failed horribly. The last time was 4 months ago. I bought the tickets, then they canceled the show!! I'm cursed to never see them, & theyre my 2nd favorite band (not counting Nirvana, cuz they dont exist anymore).
SpookySweetie: How awesome would that be to see the Violent Femmes!?
Lo: Im pretty jealous that you got to see MCR and MSI haha
Charmander Rib Cage: I totally spazzed out a little when I read that you have seen CAKE. I'd pay just to sing and dance to Love You Madly. What an awesome story about Chad Wolfe, I love singers that actually pay attention to their fans. I was so freaked out when I met Ivan. Was afaid i'd either be a total fan girl and fling myself at him or i'd be too shy to talk. Lucky I did neither!
Essex Debs: I missed out on seeing Bare Naked Ladies when they were here last, I'm still kicking myself for it. My mom got to see Pink Floyd and said it was AMAZING.
Em: Now I'll have to look those band up cuz I don't know them lol.
DarkAshHurts: Luckly the most I have ever paid was 50 for Metallica the rest was 25 and under! When I lived in NC there was no good shows to see either so I totally feel your pain on that. Ahhhh hopfully you get to see Korn someday!
Ok, lets see if I can remember them...
My Chemical Romance
SOiL
Cradle of Filth
Dragonforce (+ at a festival)
Trivium
Bullet for my Valentine (x2 + twice at festivals)
Incubus (+ once at a festival)
Wednesday 13 (x2)
Papa Roach with Buckcherry (two in one there Oh and saw both at a festival too)
Rise Against (saw at festival as well)
Download Festival 2007 (Motley Crue, Papa Roach, Stone Sour, Dragonforce, Buckcherry, Iron Maiden, Velvet Revolver, Sanctity, + more)
Download Festival 2008 (KISS, The Offspring, Black Stone Cherry, Bullet for my Valentine, Rise Against, Incubus, Apocalyptica, Disturbed, Seether, + more)
Download Festival 2010 (AC/DC, Stone Sour, Steel Panther, Rage Against the Machine, Rock Sugar, Bullet for my Valentine, Slash + more)
There could be more… Can’t remember lol.
Stuck around after the Dragonforce gig and the guitarist Herman Li, came out and asked us into the after party. We went in and got autographs and photos, had a chat with them. I was only like 15 at the time though so had to go and meet my dad who was there to pick us up.
I was at the front for SOiL, I had a girl elbowing and punching me in the neck (don’t worry I got her back ;D), but I was instantly happy when Tim King (bassist) held my hand and gave me his pick. I touched a rock star! Lol. I was given one of the drummers sticks as well. Also met the support band Godhead and got all their autographs. Met Dani Filth from Cradle of filth at their gig. I’ve been lucky!
I have got tickets to go and see Papa Roach, Buckcherry and Disturbed at the Taste of Chaos tour next month.
There are loads more stories but I cold bore you all. I’m sure there is enough to read there for a minute, lol.

Oh boy. I've seen soooo many bands! Some of the most memorable: Suicidal Tendencies, Motley Crue, Poison, Skinny Puppy/Ohgr, Front 242, Grendel, Lords of Acid, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, Metallica, Marilyn Manson, David Bowie, Nine Inch Nails, Violent Femmes, Butthole Surfers, Jack off Jill, Sheep on Drugs, Psychotica, XP8, Suicide Commando, Caustic, Aesthetic Perfection, God Module, Tori Amos, Covenant, Faderhead, Angelspit... and tons more that I'm probably just spacing on right now. I love music and most of my friends are in bands, so I end up at shows a lot
Last weekend I saw Zeitgeist Zero and John Merricks Remains in Leeds. Got to see my mates Teresa Dead (lead singer of ZZ) and Bex the base player (ZZ)...the funniest, sweetest Belgium girl have met. Lead singer of John Merricks Remains has a fantastic voice range, a bit like Neil Diamond...for those old enough to remember his stuff...LOL
I've seen too many bands to list so here's a few of my faves....
Cruxshadows, Inkkubus Sukkabus, Screaming Aircrew Banshee, Razurex, Clan of Zymox, The Mission, Sisters of Mercy, Fields of the Nephalim, Dynosis, My Chemical Romance, Iron Maiden, Bowling For Soup, Paramore, Wolfmother, Aden, Megadeath, Avenge Sevenfold, Metallica, Marylin Manson, Evernesance, Korn to name a few
Oh wow - there are way too many to list. Before I moved here I worked for some awesome bands on tour so there have been hundreds of shows.
The latest I've been to for fun however, have been firstly, Social Distortion (Mike Ness is just as amazing as ever - and recognized me from driving through town and stopping at the same red light!)
Local bands at our annual Last Band Standing competition which was every Wednesday ALL summer long - Headwayte, Stephanie Hirche and Three, Indubious, The Idle Threats (which I recommend looking up if you like old school punk rock - they're on MySpace) all made the finals and are all very good.
Um... the coolest story I can think of was a couple years ago I was on George Thorogood's sound crew, installing speakers and such for a huge outdoor performance and during lunch some of the crew and I started talking about music and Thorogood's drummer asked me to play something on the piano, which was on the first floor of the ampitheater by the dressing rooms.
I was glad to oblige and made something up on the spot.
Out of the corner of my eye I saw one of the stage hands hauling an amp into one of the dressing rooms and before I knew it I was jamming with George (Singer of Bad to the Bone, I Drink Alone, Who do you Love?!!!) AND his opening act Buddy Guy - the blues legend himself!
Probably the most surreal and wonderful experience I've had at a show, even though it was before they even took the stage
@Nitemarequeen: CAKE was amazing! They gave away a tree which and everyone was dancing and singing along to the point where we didn't have to be asked to, everyone would just come in with the "na na na na"s and what not. CAKE is an amazing live band. Just brilliant. If you ever have the chance you should see them.
I know what you mean, it is a very fine line. I just do my best to be as friendly as possible but not get too cozy or get in the way. I'm pretty lucky in that most of the bands I meet seem to enjoy what I have to say and no one has been mean to me yet. I've made friends with a couple of smaller bands though and I keep in contact with them which is nice. I think that bands these days are finally seeing how much fans do for them and see how much the fans love them and now bands and fans have a wonderful mutual and loving relationship. X3
I'm so happy you got to meet Ivan though! Seems like an insane show but totally worth it! That's great that he was so sweet to you. World needs more friendly kids like him. :3
Gosh guys, im so jealous! >.< I need to move. lol
I actually cried the last time i missed Korn. ...& a year before that i cried b/c i missed a FREE Blue October concert (my ride there failed). lol ITs terrible.
I love Blue October too ...i took my anger on that day out on a painting titled from 1 of their songs. lol
Sounds stupid, but one of my "things before u die" is to see Korn. XD its rediculous.
My first concert was P.O.D with Bright Eyes as an opening act. I've been to so many concerts though its hard to keep track of them so here is what I can think of at 2 am. My boyfriend owns a production company he started up a couple of years ago so I'll star the shows he produced.
The Anix X 3 *
Apoptygma Berzerk *
Cruxshadows *
Green Jelly (that was an awesome show)*
Kitty
Rob Zombie
Otep
Genitortuers (he sponsered this show pre-production company)
Brule X 2
Ok, sadly I spent the past 5 minutes trying to remember the name of one band and gave up so yea.
@DarkAshHurts ~ KoRn played at Download festival 2007 and it was rough!!! I managed to get in the massive tent they were playing in and was stood in a space behind a speaker (so couldn't see the stage) and it was faaar too cramped I had to go and stand outside to listen lol. There were loads of casualties though it was crazy! You know those barriers they put at the front *scurries off to find a picture*
One of the spokes in the barrier went through someones leg! (All the barriers at the front were pretty bent and knackered) Loads of people had to be stretchered out too.
@PinkWeeds ~You saw P.O.D!! :O Jealous!
Oh and DarkAshHurts, it's not ridiculous at all! There are a few bands that I really really really want to see. Like Murderdolls, I never thought that would happen as they went on a hiatus thing but after 8 years they're back!!!! I really hope they come to the UK again, they were in London the other day but that was really bad timing for me
ha ha P.O.D was a good show, I was about 15 and it was right after 9/11 so it was THAT tour that made them famous. But I've seen better shows since. Green Jelly was so much fun, it was hard to not enjoy yourself at it. Oh and my boyfriend totally had a concert for TKK but they broke up 2 days before the show! That really sucked but we had the concert with all the opening acts anyway and refunded everyone's money. Total bust on the buisness but still a good time.
