Answer whichever questions you please or just start talking!
Have to start with number 8 - I think the 1995(?) BBC adaptation of Pride and Predjudice with Colin Firth certainly takes some beating.
I have read all her books, but can no longer read P&P without Firths face filling in for Darcy!
I always watch that when I'm sick because I can't watch it bit by bit I have to watch the entire thing in one go.
Hey, I can deal with some extra Colin Firth in my life, ha ha!

mainly the wit she uses to allude to certain aspects of polite society being not so polite.

can't say I have any.
6. Have you ever participated in a Jane Austen fair/book club/class/or other Jane-centric gathering.
the Jane Austen Society in my area came out to visit a reenactment last summer and I toured them and attended their meeting. They went gaga over my dress.
7. If you were stuck on an island which Jane Austen characters would you bring with you?
Darcy, Wentworth and Col. Brandon of course.
8. What are your favorite film/TV adoptions? What are your least favorite?
Love, Persuasion 2008, Sense and Sensibility 95 and P&P 95. Hate loath, despise, P&P 2005, S&S 2008 and Emma 96 TV version (major ick factor going on with Mr. Knightly)
9. Has Jane Austen changed your life in any way?
I read P&P for the first time when I was 14 and have gone back to it a lot since then. I became a Regency reenactor when I was 15 but that sort of just happened more than anything. I've been a Regency living historian for 10 years now and it has changed the way I read Austen, which tends to grade against the way most Jane Austen fans read her. I've been known to piss off more than one Jane Austen obsessed fan with my knowledge of the time.

2008 BBC 3 part series of Sense and Sensibility. Hmmm...Least favorite? Can't think of one.
9. Has Jane Austen changed your life in any way?
It looks like we're all fans of her irony and satire. In my classes I find her so funny but I'm always sad when people don't get it because she's just so ingenious with it!
@PinkWeed: I'm so jealous that you got to join in a reenactment! That sounds like so much fun! Do you have a picture of your dress up, I'd love to see it. :3
@Corvus: The BBC always does a great job with their adaptions, I'm always super impressed and I haven't come across a single one I haven't liked so far. And I too have a soft spot for Elinor Dashwood. Her and her sister make such a fantastic pair!
