Well, I thought this place was worth the try.


BUT.
I have uploaded a "creation" had to go through basically a survey "What's it made of? Where does it go? Can't post until you answer this, answer that too while you're at it!!!!!"
AND AFTER ALL THAT, IT SAYS I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING UPLOADED. BULL. SNAP.


So. Not. Worth. My. Time.

I will just join a trade team on Etsy!!! Now there is a reasonable place to contact and share items on!!!!!!


I am so not going to waste my time here, any longer.

UNLESS, in the next ten mintues, this place proves me wrong. Otherwise, I will be needing to find the delete button, and be done with this place.

As this site is about sharing projects - the idea behind the questionnaires is that other people looking for project ideas know what is involved in making what you have made.

As I did say, my anger came from it NOT showing up afterward.
I am totally okay with answering SOME of the questions, and I UNDERSTAND THAT. It is the not showing after I SPENT ALL THAT TIME, that makes me upset.

Well, I will stay around a little longer.. But if it doesn't get up-to-date I will have to delete my account. I don't want to come off to people as a spammer, or anything. I am using my shop name, it means the world to me that it doesn't get smutted up.. Which is why I had doubts in joining in the first place.

Hopefully this uploading issue will be taken care of, for if my future uploads take as long.. I see no point in staying forever linked to this website.

Usually the uploads take a few hours to show because they must first be approved by the site moderators. This is to help ensure no uploaded crafts are stolen from someone else. If you are worried about the latter I would suggest you use paint or Photoshop to make a watermark of your shop name across any uploaded pictures.

If you are looking for instant gratification I suggest you check out etsy. This site is more about sharing crafts and ideas with other crafters and swapping.

wow- I'm not sure I'd even be interested in the crafts of someone so easily angered or so impertinent. I’m not sure if I was the only one who read your post and thought “ok leave then” because this site has a family atmosphere and most of the crafters here support each other both personally and even financially (I know I always try to purchase from the people I know from here when I’m shopping for something). But your attitude doesn’t make me want to know you, support you or purchase from you.

I don't really see you deleting your account from here as a huge loss because there are hundreds of great people on this site who share their love of crafting and diy and they share their knowledge and their friendship, and it's those people that make this site worth while. I don't know if you really have what it takes to be one of them.

There is no need for you to be so rude AbstractAverun. This is a lovely site and I agree with PinkWeeds, I don't want to see people speaking like this on the site and I don't think it would be a loss to the site if you left. I always make an effort to make newbies feel welcome but you're just being rude. If you just had a little bit of patience, then your project would be published. Keep in mind that the people who run this site do it for us for free, and they still have their own lives too. So what if it takes a few hours to upload your project? They do it as soon as they have the time to. This site is for sharing your projects and making friends, not complaining about silly things like this.

Thought this was the "rant" section of the website. I was just expressing my anger about the uploading process. Now that Felecity told me it has to be approved, I now understand why it has taken so long... And is still taking so long..

Sorry for coming off as rude, never ment to be. I was just trying to understand what the deal was. Not have people tell me my exsistance on this wedsite would be rejoiced if I left.

Generally, issues regarding the website are posted in this section of the boards. http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/board/site/comments the moderators, TOM or CAT will see your post and make sure there isn't a problem.

Everyone tries very hard to keep this site positive and free from negative complaints and trash talking. Sometimes we can get too defensive when CU&K is "trashed", even if it's unintentional.

if it can't get published you will get a message saying why, and asking you to change it so that it can get published. one of mine didnt have enough detail in the description (i only put a few words) so i just had to change that and bam it was published instantly after that.

Even if you didnt mean to come off as rude you were very much so and I completely agree with Pinkweeds and Rawr Rawr! if you are not satisfied with this site than leave. I love this site soooo much and it has helped me a lot. I personally dont appreciate the negative attitude.
