Good news!

Well,I wrote this in the rant section, because Its a good news, but Its a rant too...I cant decide...
So Im starting to work tomorrow!Happy And Im going to be payed! Im getting 1O euros a day,so I will actually have money! that was the good part!

The bad part:
Im going to work on the fields.
8 hours a day on the sun.and its 38 degrees outside. And the soy will be around my waist,so its really hard to walk in it.And it only lasts for 1O days. And I hate getting up at 7 in the morning...

rant over,I need to see the positive side of this.

Thanks Zina!Yeah, last year I worked the same for a month and the only way I could make myself get up in the morning and hold through the day without passing out was to think of the money and for what I will use it for. Its really hard work, but I have to do it.

Use sunblock or sunscreen! Wear a hat if possible too! Being out in the fields in that heat you can get really sun burnt. But like everyone said think of the money ^^

Congrats Violetta. I used to do seasonal work potato picking and pea picking. The potaotes where a heavy job and the peas were picked at night time. It was tough work but I enjoyed getting new boots and a winter coat Happy

Oh no no no,this is not my first job ,Im doing this every summer for three years now. Happy My first job was being a waitress and I had nothing from my first pay, because I had a huge bill at the local bar (where I was working) so all my money went straight back to the cash register. Happy

Sheila I love potato and onion picking! Its way more easier than soy weeding (is that the word for it?)

Thanks Snazzy I always get a nice tan, much cheaper then a salon! Happy

Congrats - sort of.

I too am unemployed, after 3 years of studying and debt I can't seem to get a job for my skills so I am having to apply for practically anything and everything. It's been a month and I've heard nothing so far. Although you don't like the nature of the job think about the money and it's only 10 days so it's not going to be for as long as it previously has, but you will be unemployed again quicker then usual.

What are your skills? What other jobs have you done in the past, besides soy weeding?

Well I finished medical school,so officially Im a nurse. But I cant do that job, because I refuse to change my entire look and who I am to be able to work.I wanted to be a journalist, but after a few months I dropped out of school, because it was on Serbian and it was too hard to follow.I dont have many options here,I dont want to study on Serbian (because of the fail from journalist school) and there are no options on Hungarian.

My dream job would be something where I can be creative and be accepted the way I look.I applied last year to be a piercer ,but shortly after my interview they found someone who didnt need any training and had already work experience.

Im signing in to a hairdresser school in September so I hope that will work out.
I still have some time to figure out what I want.
We have a plan with Joci.We want to leave Serbia in a few years,he wants to work in Germany,so we would live there for a year or so.If that plan comes true Im hoping I can pick something up and learn something there. But I dont know how much chance we have for that to happen...

maybe move to Hungary? where you speak the language, maybe easier to get a job.

and Brush up on your German skills if you want to go there, but I found it easy to learn and work in Germany.

Well I was born and raised in Serbia,I want to stay here.Germany would be great, because the money we could earn there in one year,we could get a house here.I so want my own house... Happy

Well not only that you may find it easier to gain experience in or take up a course in whatever you want. Hm, see this is the problem, I wouldn't know THAT many jobs where you can be creative. My only options are to open some sort of crafting busienss or advertising...

I don't know if houses are cheaper in Germany or Serbia but you could sort of travel and work a bit and maybe save up some money for a house back in Serbia?

Hm I don't know what else to say. I mean I'm finding it difficult to find work and I live a 40 minute commute away from Central London...
