Nasty Children

Just to be devil's advocate... politely telling someone to 'bugger off' (literally meaning F**k off a***ly) might well have someone swear back at you- because it isn't actually polite at all!

I'm not condoning the nasty behaviour of those kids, but if you actually said that- well, put it this way, I'm a mid-30s, respectable woman and I would probably snap something rude back if someone said bugger off to me! Unfortunately, that kid sounds like they've been badly raised so it's pretty much expectable that they would.

Oh, and I work with kids that are spanked a lot (or even whipped-illegally- I hope the poster who used the word whipped meant it as a general term not really. Because whiiping just IS child abuse- there's no 'reasonable' argument like spanking) and those kids are often the most violent! Because their base line of what is 'shocking' is set that bit higher ('she took the last sweet so I smacked her in the nose- what's wrong with that, when I upset dad he hit me- he does explain why later. Why can't I hit my friends and explain later?').

Totally agree Squizita, violence breeds violence. Mental abuse is also violence. There is no excuse.......ever.

@Squizita I didn't tell the kid to 'bugger off' I put it in inverted commas because it was what I WANTED to say! I perhaps should have been more clear on that.

I completely agree violence should never be used. I have a 'turn the other cheek' attitude to alot of things because If I retaliated I would just be stooping to their level and I'd be disappointed with myself for doing so.

Oh dear. Honestly you should feel as comfortable wearing your skirt that you made with your own hands no more than the first time you decided to wear it. At the end of the day , lets think and we don't have to think too hard about this. What do a bunch of chavy kids know about what looks good. These kids would dress you up in some scraggy clothes add a cheap plastic dollar sign necklace to your neck and tell you that you look fabullllaaarse...or "wickedddd" lol ignore the stupid comment you obvioulsy have more brains and creativity than all of them put together (:
