I agree with u, i think if people are gona leave a nasty comment, WHY look at our projects?!?!

((hugs)) ruth! i know, right!!!! seriously i USED to get excited when i received an email saying that there was comment on my project- but not anymore! where did all theses meanies come from all of a sudden?? i might not like a certain project someone posts on this website- but i always appreciate that time and artistic ability behind them. i just would never bash anyone who is putting themselves out there and sharing something- it's just rude! I hope i raise my kids better then these people were raised!

People are posting that kind of stuff?! That's horrid. I mean, I can kind of see some people maybe getting bent out of shape a bit if they think someone is trying to pass off someone else's project as their own, (doesn't mean that they should get rude, just that I can get it if they do). Anything other than that i just don't get- why bother taking the time to post? Suggest grey if you think it'd look better, but don't bash the pink rabbit (to use the earlier example). If it get's out of hand perhaps something can be done about the posters... I'm not one for banning, but perhaps they could have their accounts temporarily suspended if they seem to have a history of un-necessarily derogatory posts... Unfortunately, those kinds of posters seem to be a hazard of any site that goes mainstream- after a certain critical mass the not so serious start to show up in bigger numbers. At this point I haven't had any first hand experience with those kinds of posts on this site (other than seeing some people gang up and chew out a couple people that weren't posting actual how-tos and just pictures from other sites or something), so I can't get any more specific. I've seen your projects (along with many of the others on this site) and I've never come across anything I didn't think was at least a little bit neat. (And you guys are just plain awesome. ) If there are starting to be a lot of these kinds of posts it definitely needs greater attention before it can become an even greater issue...

when someone postes something mean on your project or profile report, REPORT IT RIGHT AWAY to cat. She gives them a talking to. There was even one girl using this as a dating site...people who are abusing the site, need to be reported

Glad to hear that she's on top of this kind of thing- not that I'd expect anything less. (I've been quite impressed with this whole site).

I can't believe people are still being rude about posts, the whole point of CO+K is to make stuff WE think it UBER COOL and show off out proudness for others to see in the hope of maybe inspiring them too. I thought all this childish nonsense was put to bed, but obvioiusly not. You wouldn't ever go up to a random stranger and say "I don't like those shoes you're wearing!!" or something, so I don't understand what gives people the nerve to do it on here, the principal is bascially the same.

Ruth is right, we all have right to maybe like some projects more than others because we all have different tastes, but if they don't like it then don't leave a comment, don't look at the project and if you have, just press the BACK key!! Jeeeeez.

I know, especially in this situation you don't have to say anything if you don't want to. It's just not nice. I think Heather's stuff is actually really amazing, I wish I could crochet!!

I thought I saw that bunny, but don't anymore. I thought it was cute. Hmph, but I wonder if that person ever posted any crafts. Most likely not, the ones that leave mean comments usually don't. That's another thing that makes my blood boil, is when someone criticizes someone elses work but don't post anything themselves, nothing in their profile, no info about themselves whatsoever, makes you wonder why they really became a member.
Oh and Serpentira, I had someone post a how-to that used my pic from my how-to and someone elses pic from their version. THE NERVE?!!

The nerve of some people...If you don't like it, don't comment! I have seen things that i don't like- I have different tastes...ummm doesn't everyone!!! That's why people are all DIFFERENT... if we weren't wouldn't we be robots looking the same????
And a dating site...umm hello only if they like girls (nothing wrong with that either) but come on there are only like 2 guys I've seen!!! URRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH

(PS - Um, just to clarify in case it came off wrong b/c i know that happens with me sometimes, I wasn't saying that people who get their projects 'copied' like that shouldn't get upset, just that I didn't think it was very nice for all these other people to gang up on the 'copier'...)
