Originality!!

well some of the recipies here are original and the same with the projects. I think we are inspired by others, and we like to share

Yes, I have to agree...lately it has been a little bit redundant...but...if you look at ALL the projects (which there are tons) you will find many unique projects on here...no joke..there is some pretty awesome stuff on here!!

I would like to think most of my projects have a bit of originality with a kick of weirdness.

but there is a lot of reposting with versions too, however it really encourages people tomake and post a project. When I first came on here I was like 'oooh I'm never gonna be able to post something good' but I did and then when the versions came about it was even easier to get making a posting. If someone posts a version though some of their personality should be put into it to make it theirs. With recipes not everyone can get the same recipes in the same country in books etc etc. so it's about sharing and saying 'hey look what I did!'. And most of the time the cooking is peoples own recipes. That all sounds really corny but we're a happy bunch....(which is very rare for online 'communities')

and also I think Cat is far too nice to not approve stuff for publishing if there's no reason not to such as copyright and she doesn't have time to check every little detail.

she has disapproved some of mine, but she does what she thinks is best. and I agree with Queen. Versions are great, I love seeing personality

I can't help but notice, Snowcaps, that you haven't even posted one project. If you have such a problem with a lack of creativity, maybe you should actually do something yourself instead of just complaining about other people who are actually doing what they enjoy =)

KK well said I have no problem at all with recipes being posted from books. Me and my friends pass recipes that way all the time. There are so many books out there and so many that have probably gone out of print or aren't available everywhere its cool to see them posted up here. I think so long as you give the credit to the person who created the recipe then cool. I prefer seeing peoples own pics too, I don't always trust the ones in recipe books.

well, as a photographer the food in magazine recipes are fake. its usally raw, sprayed with foodcolouring and glyciern

Ya know it's annoying to almost funny how people grip about something and then have nothing to back it up. We all here are more or less defending our online craft family, and I bet now they probably wished they would have kept their comments to themselves. Sorry, but I gotta laugh HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
