Prohibited items through customs
i was thinking for one swap of making a plushie filled with rice so it could be heated up, but i decided against it.
The Wonder Ball here in the US used to have little toys or stickers in them but then I guess they passed that law about no non-edible parts inside food. I remember going to the gas station everyday after school with my friends to get candy and I would get those all the time. That was when I was like 10 though. haha
But yeah, you can definitely send food or things like that through personal mail. You could always not tell them exactly what candy or snacks you're sending..
Also, if anyone wants to send me a Kinderegg and I can send you a snack from the US that would be super awesome!! All this KinderEgg talk has got me really curious!
Sally, I haven't posted your dotee yet so I'll see if I can sneak one in!
Ha, my mum told me about the Kinder eggs not being allowed across the border, I didn't believe her. I guess it's true then.
You can however buy Kinder chocolate, I just saw a bunch of different Kinder candy in the World Market, we also have a European store you can get them from.
Haha, I work advising companies on import/export... reading this reminds of work...
you can take anything to anywhere in the EU, (but not in your hand luggage obviously)and you can take food like biscuits, sweets, manufactured stuff like that that is not meat of plant matter anywhere as far as I know, as long as you declare it on a card. I went to spain recently from the UK on a geography trip, and I had been panicking about this issue for ages, because i wanted to take some biscuits and hot chocolate mix. they don't even look in your bag when you are travelling in the EU. It may seem obvious but no-one told me this...
