What have you "learnt from your mistakes"?!
I have learnt (my most recent one)--
*Don't turn down the offer of a free party just cause your friend doesnt want to go.
What about you?
I learned not to trust a "friend" !And to listen to my mom`s advice when it comes to trusting people. She has a gift for it.
go with your gut
I tend not to learn so much from my mistakes but mainly like Violetta said in being careful in who you trust and not to get too much into their life for fear of being sucked in and messing with your own sanity lol
Oh,and to not hit so hard with the hammer, because you may hit your finger instead of the nail.
I did this mistake for three times today, before learning.
always be honest and real
don't wait to make the first move
don't be afraid to be yourself
keep the promises you make, esp the ones to yourself
don't wait to make the first move... i wish i'd done that!
being careful who i trust.. learnt from not doing that recently! -_-
Well, I've made a lot of mistakes, and learned a lot from them....
this is from an "older" person 's perspective...
Your parents are not frumpy old fogies that are just out to spoil your fun.....they only want what's best for you, they love you and don't want you getting hurt from all the mistakes they made themselves
Your parents used to be teenagers too.....they know what goes on, theyv'e done it all themselves
The person who said "Life begins at forty" was some over-optimistic 39 year old who didn't have a clue.....they missed out part of the sentence, it should be "Life begins ( to be a pain in the ****) at forty"," life begins ( to become very expensive at the dentist) at forty. life begins( fill in your own blanks here) at forty
Show kindness and empathy, and always be ready to listen to the other person's side of the story
And everything that Heather said
Learning how to accept the fact that you are wrong. My husband and I have this unique ability to be able to take a step back from our selves and say, "ok...now why am I really acting this way?" For example:
We have never had a fight. NEVER. We are just as loving and gentle with one another as the day we met. (He still brings me a flower every day, even if it's nothing but a little dandelion) I think this is because if we ever get snippy with one another we can just give each other that look..."Really? You're going to act like that? Really?" We're both able to put aside petty "who's gonna win the war" feelings and he, or I can step back and say..."ok, why am I really mad? Is it because he left his shoes in the middle of the hall and I tripped on them? Or is it because I've just had a long day and I'm tired and hungry and ready for a nap?"
I think being able to become self-aware of your actions and WHY you do things and react in certain ways is the best life lesson I could have ever learned. I'm SOOO much more mellow now days. I never really get mad at anything anymore. STRESS FREE!!! lol
ooh thats great advice
I learnt 'if he's going to ring he'll ring' - I wish I'd learnt that one when I was younger as I used to wait for hours and probably days for boys to ring when I could have been doing something far more interesting
I learned that one too arty
Today I learned that I should reread the drivers guide after I got a ticket for a law I did not know about
I learned that too Michelle and KitKat!
And Nora I couldn`t agree more with you-parents where teenagers too.So dont smoke pot when your 17 in the house if your dad is a retired police officer.
Never completely trust anyone. They will let you down, sometime or another, but be understanding of why they let you down, and if was nothing major, forgive them.
Boys are a load of bull.
Dont get too comfortable in reality, it changes too much. Day dreams are consistant (or.. at least they change when you want them to)
i've learnt the trust one the hard way melvin.. -_-
all very true!
