Wedding help!!
whoa!! o.o that is hot!!!!! Who would of thought a rock could look so beautiful! love it!
I like the tea light idea
Well we finally found a venue for our reception, which I am sooooooooooo happy about!! It's a Chinese restaurant that we tried out about a month ago. Unfortunately the pink things I made won't fit in with the decor, so now it's red and silver. Won't be using the pink paper flower names or the stands I made anymore, which kind of sucks as I spent a lot of time making them.
Think I've approached this whole wedding arse about face.
it happens, how about some sliver spray paint! quick fix! Make it work!!!
I am busy making some "coffee filter rose" corsages.
Here is the finished product
You've done an amazing job on the coffee filter roses
oh my gosh, you should post that on the site with a how too! loves
Maybe if you get your friends in on the action, it'll be more fun. Instead of sitting around your house, alone, making wedding stuff, you could have make-wedding-stuff parties. Invite a few friends over for every project you need to do.
Also, if you don't want to make your dress, check out websites for quinceanera dresses. They are generally quite amazing and really cheap.
65? Psh. That wouldn't even cover my dad's side of my family. xD
I am soooooo glad you are getting back into the swing of things! I got overwhelmed just by being 2 bridesmaids at once at the beginning of last year--I can't imagine what you're going through! ;)
I also agree that (AFTER THE WEDDING!) we should get a coffee filter rose how-to. ;) Love it!
I like the idea of inviting friends over to help. Thing is everyone is just so darn busy - and they're not really the creative types... And I'm quite a perfectionist...
Love the coffee rose, it's beautiful.
My 'wedding' cost me about $60. I know that sounds rediculous, but it's true
I bought a dress from a second hand shop and restyled it. I made my broom from hawthorn gathered from the park opposite where I live and scraps of ribbon. The venue was a nature reserve with a teepee and Saxon round house (see Yorkshire England project) where we shared mead, stories, songs and poetry. The music was provided by a friend who makes and plays ceremonial flutes. The service was conducted in a blessed circle of stones in beautiful natural surroundings. Our meal was shared with a small select group of friends in a awning on the side of a trailer tent on the reserve
The most important thing on the day is you and your partner.
Peace and blessings x
Honey you are doing really well, I love the corsages they are amazing... keep it up honey
Good luck! I haven't done my own wedding however lots of friends have had 'home made weddings' and they have been wonderful!
I big pain in the bum...BUT... bear with me... get the bridesmaids around to make paper flowers, paint balloons (sorry i am a but chavvy and love balloons) etc' with cocktails and wine for a night out.
Edit... just noticed I missed your post where you said you were using a Chinese Restaurant.
You could you ask for 'favours' in place of wedding gifts? 'Gifts' I've seen are the buffet, home made wedding cake, decorations... even the disco/band if you know musical types. D-I-Y wedding can be Do It Themselves... and we loved ones love to help!
