the swine flu..

does any one you know have the swine flu.. alot of people over here have it! just wondering.. man i feel so sick i hope i dont have it! it could just be a hang over but i dont have a head ache so i dunno... aw pretty scary stuff!

really so its nothing big? they make it seem all big over here as soon as you walk into the hospital they give you a mask to wear

in a hospital or doctors precautions like that are absolutly neccessary so if anyone does wonder in with swine flu (when we've been told not to go to hospital/doctors, you phone a helpline you say your symptoms they send you tamiflu) then it reduces the risk of it spreading espeically to those in hospital already with weak immune systems/underlying illnesses.

I'm not bothered at all. I do worry a little bit when i start sneezing or whatever but it turned out that it was only a cold. You'd know if you had flu or swine flu. It only should concern you if you (or friends, family etc) have an underlying illness but here (I don't know your location) they are bringing in vaccines for anyone majorly at risk.

A few people I know have had swine flu.

It was quite funny (to me) actually 1 friend had swine flu. She'd told us she wasn't sleeping with her ex girlfriend and it turned out a few days later her ex girlfriend had got swine flu too. Me and my friends weren't bothered that she'd been sleeping with her ex, but it was the fact that she'd blatently lied to us for months... ok I probably sound weird, but I found the irony really funny!!!

A couple of other friends have had Swine flu... I haven't Happy

From what I've heard, the Tamiflu medication has made people with swine flu worse?
I still haven't had it yet, just a common cold for me thanks Happy

two of my friends have had it- one said it was jsut like having a really bad flu but the other was pregnant at the time and had to be hospitalized. as far as they know they didn't give it to anyone else ( as in their husbands or children or co workers) i'm not too worried about it.......maybe i should be ?????

Nah I wouldn't be too worried, it only kills the really young and really old and people with bad health problems... just like normal flu, which actually takes more lives than swine flu apparently. If you get it, you get it!!

Yep... As long as you're of normal health, it's nothing to worry about... A few friends of my family had it. They even have a 5-year-old who was just fine... Of course common sense applies, as always, so if you do get it, monitor yourself. If you see something alarming, go see a doc. Other than that: lots of fluids, rest, etc etc and you'll be fine.

well there are two kinds of H1N1, one that can be vary deadly aka H1N1 pandemic and there is one that is just a flu so the new H1N1 shot is for the pandemic. so if you have H1N1 pandemic then you should go see a doctor ASAP, it could be vary serious.

I got the H1N1 shot today....because I'm a healthcare professional...they try to really encourage you to get it....we don't have to, but it's highly encouraged...an individual in our facility has it, I don't know if it's serious or not though. That's all I know. Otherwise, I don't know anyone who has had it, but I've heard of cases...and have been really good about washing my hands...but I always have been. Um...about the whole hyped thing...people need something to hype about. And...hospitals, doctors offices, schools, etc. have been cautious about spreading germs before all of this, but the way I see it...they are using this to their advantage to get people to wash their hands more, because nobody likes being sick anyway. So...why not practice good hygiene habits?
