Crafters block... help??

Okay... so I bought a jacket that I was going to alter before I found another one closer to what I needed. So now I have this jacket that is missing pockets and the bottom hems are messed up from taking out the pockets... any craft ideas? I don't wanna throw it out as I love the material and the color isn't awful...

You could convert it into a short vest, and cut up the sleeves to make ruffles.

Why not make a vest and then cut up the arms to make a matching purse , if you need more fabric do like a patchwork themed bag ?
