£7.50 sewing machine!

In a charity shop today I found a computerised 99 stitch sewing machine for £15, it was then pointed out that "Happy Hour" was in 20 minutes when everything is half price *score*
One clean and oil later it's working better but not great. The alphabet isn't coming out at all. Any advice?
But still a great buy for £7.50!

You could look it up on the internet the brand and what not, see if it's a common problem, and if there is an easy fix for that Make and Model?

Wow that's amazing .
I had great success with doing this for a lost manual last year when at a friends.
That said try shortening the stitch and making sure width is wide for alphabet if you can get that to work ooh the possibilities....
Put's my 6 yards of fabric,5 inch Omnigrid plus 3 patterns for 4.50- my keyboard doesn't have pound sign any more Happy -on Tuesday to shame.
