New Sewing Machine

Hey guys...this is my first time posting on here... i am looking for a new sewing machine. I have an ancient kenmore that must weigh 75 pounds and just has basic stitches. I'm looking for a good quality machine that has the basic stitches as well as does embroidery. I don't want to pay more then $500 dollars for one either. If anyone has suggestions it would be much appreciated!
