Vintage Red Hostess Pyrex Bowls - Need Help

I went to a bin sale for charity yesterday and found 3 vintage red pyrex bowls, the red on the outside is really oxidized. Does anyone know a way to get the oxidation off of the finish or do I just love the "antique" finish they now adorn? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Could you post a picture?
If they're the white pyrex that's been painted, you have to be really careful with the color as it will come off completely if you scrub it too hard.
