Anyone else not watch TV?
Last Christmas me and my bf went to stay in his parents place while they were away and they don't have a TV. When we got back we barely watched our telly and now 6 months on we've decided to get rid off it and cancel our TV license. Its been so liberating not watching telly that its really hard to explain. I used to have so many things I liked to watch that it eats up so much time. Now I have so much more time which is mostly used for crafting. Its great. Wondered if there was anyone else out there whose done the same.
I don't watch tv, I actually watch movies on my computer
I watch movies on my computer, but I don't watch TV that much at all. We haven't cancelled our subscription because my brother watches TV all the time but I hardly ever watch it.
We've got a family TV and I've got a little TV in my room, both have Freeview (digital TV that you don't have to pay a subscription for like you would for services like Sky), but my mum and I hardly watch TV. I watch it more often than my mum, but there's nothing I'll watch every single episode of. I don't think I would want to live without a TV completely though, because I like having the freedom to watch things whenever I want or things like documentaries that won't come out on DVD. But I think when I go to uni I'll learn to live without a TV, because I won't really have money to pay for a TV license so it'll be a case of watching friend's TV's or getting someone at home to record programs for me so I can watch them when I get home.
We finally freecycled the TV & Freeview box a couple of weeks ago and got a £35 back from the TV License people which we weren't expecting \o/.
I didn't have a tv for about 2 years when I was still single. I bought a house and never really bother to subscribe. I did rent/buy movies occasionally though but didn't miss tv at all. Now I live together with boyfriend Gijs. If it were up to me we would get rid of the tv but Gijs likes to watch sometimes. Usually late at night when he's done working on his machines (he buys, fixes and sells agriculture machines as a hobby). I prefer to craft or walk and train with the dog.
i watch tv but i am always doing something when watching it- so i normally put the music channel on! then i watch 2 friends a day! <3 i love friends
and thats bout it! ;)
i only watch a few things I love the hbo show true blood and there like two others show i watch but thats it other then that the t.vs off till my hubby gets home
Its odd but until christmas last year I was a total Home and Away addict and loved NCIS and Criminal Minds but cos I couldn't watch them I just forgot when we got back and got doing other things. I couldn't give up my laptop half as easily though! Thats like an extra limb
I know, never the computer
if it were up to me we wouldn't have the cable. but my husband really wanted it, even though he never really watches it. i think he feels like he wants it just in case there is something we wants to watch but i don't think he would miss it. we do watch a lot of movies on dvd or on the computer. it's more of a background noise thing. there are some tv shows i like, but i feel most of it is just trash!
I do the same as Ezme, like right now the TV is on, but I'm not really watching that, I'm always like that, then I study I have to have some sorta background noise... I wonder why??
Most of the stuff on TV is rubbish anyways...
I dont watch TV but I watch movies. I have a TVshow on Netflix I watch, though, called Pretty Little Liars. Really spooky, yet fun and dramatic.
