Yeah I don't think that's beautiful at all, and I don't want to be buried. Medical research and cremation all the way!

but you become like mud and stuff if you're cremated and are scattered, I like that though you make the trees all nice, I don't like the idea of being in a jar on a mantel peice though, I find that quite weird.

I would like an eco burial, like in Six feet under, but they are illegal in most countries. You just get buried in an organic sheeth with no fluids from the mortuary and just buried straight in the ground, obviously in a designated place and with no head stone.

Also have a tree planted above the spot or be buried next to a tree.

Yeah I'd definately get scattered. Maybe in Prague, or York. Or Glastonbury.

Opposites, that episode upset me so so much. It's beautiful but it was so sad that he had to do it himself, I couldn't imagine doing that. And it's really horrible when she keeps coming back and asking him why he did that. Oh and when you find out how she died!

I'm in two minds about this (scuse the pun). I have no problem with human bodies being used for decorative purposes IF the person who's body part is being used has given prior consent.

However if it has been used without prior consent I find it pretty tasteless and quite disrespectful.

Isn't that because diamonds are basically carbon and we're mostly carbon when we're ashes or just mostly carbon anyway? I don't like that idea really though, each to their own though. I want an eco friendly coffin so that I don't use up wood and don't give off so much ikky stuffs, and then I want what's left to be burried with a tree on top, I know I said you're dead you're not gonna know before but it's nice to feel that you'd leave a kind of legacy 'my nan's gravestone is a tree' they would say! although I'd like a plaque infront of it! maybe that was the point of the skull that started the topic, a legacy sort of thing.

Yeah but because the skull's so old, I seriously doubt she was able to give consent.

I go with most of the other people in this post, if she consented to having her skull used like that, then sure. But if not? then I think that person should be arrested for grave robbing.
I would personally never buy it though. I don't even want a taxidermy animal or fur in my house.

I wanted to donate my body to science after I died, but my father said he didn't want me to do that to him, and that I could change it after he dies. That made me think about the whole body is just a shell after the soul leaves. Basically I think in a way, even though it is your body, you should consult the ones you love, because they are going to have to put you in the ground and your body means something to them, even if you aren't using it anymore.
