Hair Dye
no idea!!! Would you get it all done and then just have to spend a whole day brushing them out!?
I dunno really =S cause I'm pretty sure you can get it done but I dunno how horrible they'd be to take out..
how about just getting like a few mini ones if you've got any layers and dying them? they wouldn't take long to grow out then i suppose
Ah no my friend was gonna do that but you can't, cause you can't wash dreads as often as you would normal hair (if you do they go mouldy) and also you need to use a special shampoo or something.
ooooo yeh me forgets! I thought it was more that you just don't have to wash them as much lol There was this guy at college who had dreads and then he didn't so my mate asked him and he said the reason he didnt have dreads was because of 9 years, his mum gave him a hug for the first time in 9 years also lol You have to wash your scalp though even if you don't wash the dreads. I think it's easier without dreads lol.
question about dye, my friend just got her hair highlighted so her hairdresser advised her not to dye it pink for now at least, do you how long she should wait to dye it so her hair isn't stained?
6 weeks I think cuz they say if you dye your hair don't do it again for a few weeks so you don't ruin your hair...so 4 maybe 6 weeks
You CAN wash your hair with dreads, just not as often. It's every three weeks or something.
I think I'm just gonna stick with my red streaks and bring loads of hair clips and hats haha
I've been trying to dye my hair a redy purpple lately but it's not working any tips? but the colour even the permenent for me only last up to 7 washes.
Red hair dye is the worst for running even if it's perminant (been dying it red for 3 years), the one I use is Loreal Feria with the colour booster thing and even though half my hair is roots now (need to dye it being lazy haha) the red is still pretty vibrant and red. It's more purple when I first dye it then it goes red, but I know if I get another brand and lighter it will probably only be able to dye my roots bright red and it would fade fast. This brand covers everything evenly, my roots and the colour over the already dyed hair are the same colour! I tried to dye it brown once and it didn't even make any difference I suppose that shows how good the loreal dye is?
Once you dye your hair don't wash it for two days and it lets the dye sort of sink in. After a few weeks the red stops running for me but I think it's just something no one has perfected and a lot of these colour helping products and shampoos are actually to make your natural colour come out more so look carefully at what you get.
I might have to try that now washing for to days...thanks
I have gone green before too. Completely, if you count a mohawk as being a full head of hair, no pics of that but I do have some of my streaks.
I can't find any perm funky color hair dyes, punky used to make perm...
If you want to make the color last longer put the excess dye in your conditioner or shampoo.
I always used Special Effects hair dye - after trying a billion hair dyes on the high-street and even crazy colour, SFX beats everything hands down. The colours usually last LONGER than 6 weeks, especially on bleached hair. Just looking at the dye makes me want to dye my hair again...
you can find SFX here: http://www.beeunique.co.uk/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=72
oh my god, all this talk of hair dye obviously went to my head (har har, see what I did there?) and last night my boyfriend ordered me this -
I can't wait to be red again! *excited*
You have stuff named L'oreal Color Pulse
when you use that stuff its not permenant. When you wash your hair like 10 times the collor is gone.
